This is 100% not a complaint against Founders. I love everything they make, and was super excited to find my last 2013 Curmudgeon in the corner of my fridge. However, I poured it out, and this bugger floated to the top... My question is this just yeast sediment that built up over time, or is this an infected bottle? The other 3 I drank were fine.
I would send that pic in a an email to Founders. Not sure what that is, but it would prevent me from drinking it.
Taste it? Prob just proteins coming together. Scoop it out and drink.it if it tastes fine. Nothing that is gonna hurt you
the fact that it was stored in the fridge may have helped proteins settle to the bottom, how did it taste?
Please contact Founders vs. spreading potential rumors that a beer is infected; when it's most likely not.
They've been having a good amount of problems over the past few years with this. They say it's a protien buildup or something along those lines. They will as for the bottling date. But, they will do nothing for you if you email them. I went through the process of trying to get any kind of compensation for the 8 breakfast stouts I had left out of a case that were all like that. Some lengthy emails going everywhere around the subject of replacement/compensation that they could to avoid making it right. I love their beer and will never stop drinking it, they just arent a company that stands behind any of their mistakes.
