now about an hour and a half since i opened the extremely cold bottle (which i have been slowly sipping since then) i have to say, it is actually drinking perfect. as good as it did when i tried it as kaiser curmudgeon. this beer is truly the definition of what temperature does to flavor. an absolute gem. anyone who thinks it is over the hill is either lying to you to devalue the beer...or is drinking it too cold.

this one is as flawless as i hear 2009 DL is...

Thanks for the input, everyone; I'll report back after I crack one this upcoming weekend.

Cracked one on Sat. Had a lot of floaters in it, maple was there but muted, wonder if it was stronger younger. Still drinking outstanding.

After reading this thread I decide to pop my lone bottle tonight. And I have to say its pretty damn good. The maple pops out nicely as it warms up a bit. Mouthfeel is excellent too. Its definetly a special beer.

finally got around to cracking one of these; was a little better fresh, but not a huge drop off...maple notes are still there, just a little muted, best around 55-60 degrees, I would recommend to anyone else holding on to one to drink it now

Drat. Just opened a Speedway, or I'd crack my bottle now. Had a 2009 Nemesis the other night and there was still a hint of maple there--was humorously no less hot, but I always loved that beer anyway--so I'm hoping to be dazzled by the CBH even at this point. Cheers,

I was just wondering this as I recently received a bottle in the barrel aged BIF. Fortunately I'll get to try it on draft again soon and see whether I should open it up soon or sit on it for a while yet.
