Being that winter seems like it has just ended (ha ha right) Im still in my cold weather beer kick. I find myself craving Dragon's milk and good barley wines / old ales, as well as KBS. Just did a small tasting. a bomber of Curmudgeons better half and got a 4 pack of 2009 vintage Cereal killer barley wine from Arcadia.. Both YYUUUMMMY. Waiting to crack a KBS and a Shipwreck porter Thursday.
Just in a beer mood and thought Id share that ...... What is everyone else craving???

I'm in PA right outside of Philadelphia and we basically didn't have winter this year, the temperature hit 78 today so I had to stop in and check out what was at the distributors. Right now however I'm craving Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, I have a four pack left from my brothers wedding two years ago that we're cracking open in May when I get my teaching certification.

Very good beer indeed. I liked it more than Pliny The Elder.

Zombie Dust. The warm weather really makes me want the amazingly dry hopped bottle of bliss.

Warmer weather always make me want hefeweizens as well. Weihenstephaner and Mother Earth will do.

The girlfriend is turning 24 tomorrow and has requested grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner... it was such a weird request, especially cause she's usually very picky (see: healthy) about her eating habits (minus beer of course haha). Anyway I'm excited to make her some gruyere on dark rye and gouda/cumin grilled cheese... but I'm more excited for the beer that's going along with it.

This weekend (at the KBS release) I bought/traded for some of her favorite beers (all in the ipa-style) and ipa-ish beers that are supposed to be just great. For tomorrow with dinner we're having a side-by-side of

    Zombie Dust
    Heady Topper
    White Rajah
    Nugget Nectar
    Columbus IPA

Needless to say, I'm craving tomorrow night's lineup.

gourmet grilled cheese indeed...but.... i would pair it with a nice stout..... probably go old school and keep it simple with... guinness stout original........... either way enjoy................
