We had no winter here, sorry to say, but fire season is going to start soon. Fresh and local is about all I can say.

Right now I'm craving Dark Milds, Bitters, Eisbocks (there just are not enough of these in my neck of the woods). I am usually craving, and now is no exception, English Barleywines and Munich Dunkel Lagers.

I'm been in an uncharacteristic hop craving lately, as well as really being into clean, fairly malty low-hopped beers such as Irish reds, Vienna lagers, and bocks.

screw the whole Mother Nature mentality thingy. i drink what i want - when i want without a second thought. that includes sharing a RIS or porter with butterflies, hummingbirds & bumble bees... in the middle of July.

at this point what's on deck in the batting circle this week, i have an urge & thinking i'll pour a Brown Shugga' - but we'll see when i actually step up to the plate.

Yeah, I think I'm starting to like IPA's a bit more these days, not exactly sure why, or at least accept them for their style because I seemed to have given a fair amount of them a good try and now, well, I want to try more.

    Pale Ales.

Especially loving the amber/red-Pale Ale fusions that are going around these days. Deschutes Red Chair and Odell's Red have been staples in my fridge and would probably remain so if they weren't seasonal.

CW Exodus was a great beer. My only critique was I wished for a little more oak flavor, but that's just b/c I love oak flavor. Still, great brew. CW puts out great brews.
