Cursus Keme Brewing closed for covid but has shown no signs of reopening. They haven't posted on Instagram in a year and their website has the same old message that they are expanding the beer garden. Anyone know an ETA on when they might reopen?

It does seem that now things have returned to mostly normal there would be some sign. New Origins, which is next door is set to open in July, thought that might have spurred Cursus Keme along.

The other local tasting room that hasn't reopened is Pisgah. However, they are moving, and webpage still gets updates. They are also brewing and distributing.

Yeah I talked to the owner, Jeff, and he said they plan to start bottling and distributing this summer for sure and hope to open the biergarten up shortly after. Sucks because, even though the quality of beer was hit or miss IMO, I absolutely LOVED the space and staff. Definitely gonna be one of the harder COVID casualties to swallow if they don't bounce back.

Cursus Keme is reopening Aug 6.
New Origin Brewing, which is right next to Cursus Keme is having their grand opening on Aug 6.

They seem to be in concert with this opening on the same day with the same hours.

I was there on Sunday. They reopened on Friday. That place is weird. Like a speakeasy brewery. Its beautiful just a strange marketing concept. No sign... GPS takes you to a gate and if you dont know you would not go through it you dont want to get shot for trespassing.

HOWEVER> NEW ORGIN 500ft down the road opened on Friday as well and it is FIRE!!! the 4 beers I had were fantastic.

Agreed about the gate at Cursus Keme. I had hoped they had changed that since I was there the first or second weekend they opened, but guess not.

CK is one of the few breweries that wowed me the first time I visited. It's not common these days to be surprised when visiting a brewery you've never been to before.

Refreshing to experience something unique and beautiful and unexpected.

Glad to see that they've reopened and I look forward to visiting again.

Have been back twice since they reopened and their Dunkel Dinkel Dopplebock is incredible! So much of a chocolate note without any chocolate being used. And it's 12.1% so I recommend a 12 oz pour.

Have you stopped into New Origin on the same street? Some of the best beer I had while I was up there earlier this month.
