I've got one too. An old Coleman car camping sleeping bag, fresh from the drier.

Will it take the heat from my 320,000 BTU burners? If so, ill use that next time!!

Let me know how it (not the Coleman sleeping bag) works...I'm looking for something high-tech/ flame resistant for my direct-fire mash tun...

Really? ...how much could ~10-12ft2 of high tech insulation cost?

I will try to remember to let you know how it works might be a while before I brew again.
As for the cost I'm not sure because it was a gift (and a nice one) but I'm thinking over $300, just a guess because of the material and craftsmenship.
    Cheers

Don't need it to survive 320K burners...mine is ballpark 40K when throttled and probably less than that for a mash tun application. How about some details?

This is the system, the center pot is the Tun, each outside pots are HLT and BK, the larger one being the BK, this is a RIMS system.
As far as details on the blanket I cant give you any as it was a gift, I can tell you it is about 3/4" thick and weighs approx. 25 Lbs, That is all I really know. He picked up the pot when I was at work took it and had it
measured and brought it back before I got home, when it was finished he dropped it off when I was at work.
He hasn't been over to give me the skinny on the material. It is Staple sewed together.
