I'm not sure if I can post this here, but I heard each state has different laws so I'll post this here. I'm flying to JFK and I was planning to bring some beers. I thought I can save some money and get some nice local stuffs if I bring some beers and trade them. But I'm concerned about the custom rules right now. I googled it and some says it's just ok to bring alcohol in my luggage bag, and some says alcohol is 1Liter limited. Any more information would be appreciated, thanks and cheers!
For international flights I am pretty you are limited to one liter and 400 dollars of value from Korea as well as back to Korea from NY unless you want to pay the duty, which is large. People fill suitcases with beer for domestic U.S. flights all the time without issues.
