Anyone land a Castleton lately? Mind sharing what it took to land? I'm curious about it as I enjoyed Rosso E Marrone but haven't seen many deals for this go down so was looking to see what it took.

    How about for older batches?

    Thanks

The trouble with CdC is that it's so delicious it is hard for those of us who have it to give it up. What could we get back that would be as good or better? I would trade one for Alpine Great, Adam from the Wood, or a properly cellared Perfect Storm, I think that is about all could pry it from me.

I traded two La Roja Grand Reserve's for two of the newest batch of CdC. Both parties were happy!

A man that knows what he likes.... I dig it. Can you shed some light on the Castleton for me? Price, bottle count, distribution?

Others will chime in with more information. What I do know is that it is a brewery only release, and I believe the last batch was in the neighborhood of 1,000 bottles.

CdC was 1000 this last release, $15 for a 375ml, limit of 4, if I'm not mistaken

Other brewery release beers and rare beers that are in high demand. Looking at your cellar link. I think some of those Cantillon, especially the Lamvinus, LP Framboise, Vigneronne and Fou Foune have a good chance of finding a taker. Black Note, CBS, Veritas 009, B4 Beat might get you 2 each

I recently did a trade for a friend including one. I gave Black Note for CdC and Rosso marone.

its also worth noting that the last CdC release was probably the most difficult/crowded one yet. previous years (as well as the last rosso release) didnt have so many people getting shut out. my group was there almost 7 hours early and we ended up splitting the allotment bc not all of us got bottles.

Im with you on this. There are very few beers I'd give one up for. CdC is an amazing beer.
