No idea when they started putting dates on but if it has a date it will be printed in yellow ink on the neck of the bottle, least that's what my 2011 has

That's an 07. The 08 onward has the year on the label.

Oh man those are gonna be good. Any vintage bottles of CDT I have tried have been awesome. They really develop in the bottle and become quite vinous and vinigary. I friend brought a 2003 CDT to a big tasting a whiile back and it was the star of the tasting for me and there were some real heavy hitters that were opened that night (J and J, Homage Choc Rain ect ect). This is probably my favorite LA beer to be honest.

Hm. I've had 08 and 09 CdT in the last 2 weeks. 09 was awesome. 08 was raisiny, pruney, and the carbonation was lacking. I enjoyed it but 09 was awesome, bright bourbon notes but not hot, great sour, acidity etc. 09 was a 9/10 sour and 08 was like 7/10.

Also had a 2003 Cuvee de Tomme bottle a few months back with some other heavy hitters, and it was by far the most surprising and most complex beer of the night.

I personally love this beer, think its one of the few beers that has stayed at its constantly high level over the years from Lost Abbey.

I have found tremendous bottle variation in Cuvee de Tomme. Almost all of my bottles were purchased by me on release and all have been placed in the same cellar, a wine/beer cellar where the temperature is a constant 53-55 degrees and there is absolutely no light except when I go in to get a beer, work on the cellar etc. So, the bottles are all "aged" the same.

I have had bottles from 2008 and 2009 that ranged from absolutely undrinkable to delicious. Personally, my experience with this particular Lost Abbey brew is that I'd just as soon drink it fresher and not gamble. When it's good, it's good. But when it's bad,...it's really bad! JMO and my experience.
