Going to be there this Friday/Saturday. Like hitting breweries I've never been to. IPAs, Stouts, Goses what I've been into lately. I've looked on forums and plan on hitting Hoppin Frog, Missing Mountain, Akronym, and HiHo(if it seems worth it). Anyone have other suggestions? Should I drive towards Cleveland too? I figured I'd also hit a Winking Lizard and Lizardville.
McArthur's Brew House is right next to Missing Mountain. And since you might be downtown for Akronym, it might be better to visit Thirsty Dog. On Grant St. they have a Tap House at the top of the hill that serves food and often has a lot of barrel aged drafts, and at the bottom of the hill they just opened the Sour Haus on the other side of their production facility. Cozier space with a few one-offs and experimental sour beers.
Had a good trip. Hiked Cuyahoga Falls National Park and hit some breweries. Beautiful area up there. Cool little town. Went to the following places: Canton Brewing Company - nothing was a showstopper although Frutta was good and I thought Through the Fire and Flames was hot and pretty damn good. Hoppin' Frog Brewery - best place I went to all weekend and it wasn't close. Thai One On Coconut Curry was really really interesting. Lots of curry. To be honest everything was pretty great. Brought home quite a bit of bottles. D.O.R.I.S.! Craft Beer Bar - nice place with lots of options HiHO Brewing - meh Winking Lizard Tavern - always awesome Magic City Brewing - 2nd only to Hoppin'. GREAT place. Fantastic beer. Birfday Suit #2 is ridiculous. Missing Falls Brewery - nothing crazy good Thirsty Dog - pretty terrible The Cashmere Cricket All in all a great trip with perfect weather. Nice area.
