Anyone know if you can sell/give away the CW 18 Party tickets? I notice there is no name on the bottle sale ticket and may have to give mine up.

My understanding is that the GA tickets are transferable, but the CW18 bottle tickets are (at least technically) not. While names are not printed on the tickets, there is a unique code on there, which corresponds to an entry in the list of names that CW gets from BPT.

That said, it'll presumably depend on whether they have something in place to check names against tickets at bottle pickup. Previous years it's been informal/low-tech, but considering how fast tickets sold out this year, they may have to be more rigorous about that part of the process going forward.

I was at the Black Gold release , if you have ticket you get to buy beer. They moved line so fast, tickets got thrown in a bucket, you grab your tote full of beer and pay... No time to check a list.

Black Gold tickets didn't sell out in four minutes.

I used a friends ticket for BG. I have a CW 18 ticket. Same format. Same no name. If they wanted to put name on ticket, they could. Only thing that changed recently, no proxies. One person, one ticket, one allotment...

I think the best answer you're gonna get is.... we don't know for sure.

Technically speaking (and confirmed by the folks from CW who post here regularly) the bottle allotment tickets are not transferable and must be redeemed by the purchaser. Buuuuuttt...... there's no name on them, and unless they're going to scan them in (and they may very well do that) I don't see them having enough time to hand check the list for every sale. The line would never move.

from my emails for Black Gold release...

    Jeff,

As long as you are not a current ticket holder and you have the ticket with you, we can allow you to use the ticket.
I hope that gives you some clarity, we look forward to seeing you at the event!

    Cheers!

    Jeff,

If you supply us with a name for pick up and they bring a photo ID, we are able to accommodate.

    Cheers!

If there's one thing that's been clear to anyone attending Central Waters' events over the last several years, it's that the CW crew works hard to make each event better than the one before, and isn't afraid to make changes toward that end. So there's no guarantee the next time will be the same as the last. If you really want to know whether you can use someone else's 18 ticket to buy bottles, send them a note and ask – they're very good about responding.

From what I hear they are checking names/ ID's at the door. Sounds like something about space/ controlling the crowd. Maybe they got hit with some fire code type thing but I thought on the other thread a CW person said something about them actually checking ID (guessing they have a master sheet that can link ticket number to name). I guess you can try but don't be upset if you are rejected.

Wow, I hope they don't have the dreaded master list like they did for 16. It took approximately 2 hours to get through the line.

Oh man, that would be slow... It would have to be bar code scanner / ticket reader based with a quick name check off the screen for that to be efficient
