Hy-Vee East in Madison got 2 cases this morning, behind the counter. Limit 1 4-pack per person. They might get more next week too.

 

Star got theirs as well

 

It hit Rileys today, all stores in Madison area should get it.

 

Woodman's east and alpine said tomorrow. Some got it today.

 

Hy-Vee west said tomorrow, and it wasn't at Woodman's west yet either.

 

Sounds like most places are getting it in tomorrow... Woodman's East dropped that they were getting probably 2 cases... And I know Riley's got about the same amount, and I think that sounds like it will be typical in the area for most popular places, since three places I have visited recently said the same thing? I picked up a sixer of Illumination at Riley's today, but left all the Cherry Stout for you guys

I had already picked up a couple 4 packs in the Milwaukee area late last week since I had family stuff going on there...

Weird that Riley's dropped today... I would guess it has dropped everywhere today, but others are taking time to process it? Would be weird to deliver it to only one place in the area and then come back tomorrow to hit the rest... But I guess anything is possible?

Sidenote: The Illumination has some big pineapple notes this year, at least on my palate... Enjoying the crap out of this pour, good stuff.

 

Steve's Junction will have it (and Illumination) sometime Wednesday. 2 cases of Cherry Stout initially, thus 2 bottle limit. Possibly more next week. Illumination is less limited.

FYI stores get deliveries on different days throughout the week, so just because something hits somewhere in Madison one day doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be everywhere else that day. In central waters' case, MillerCoors shares their distributor, so you can imagine how many other stops drivers have to make in a day.

 

This stuff is so good. I really like cherry stouts and the vanilla notes from the barrel are the cherry on top.

 

If you love cherry stouts, then you really should try Cherry Rye. Give up whatever it takes to try it.

 

Any idea if this hit south of Madison ? I'll be traveling for work tomorrow in the Beloit area.

 

Central waters question, didn't want to create a new thread. Will the bb stout be available in July? I'll be up there then and would love to get ahold of some. I'll be in the Madison area.

 

Possibly at some of the less-frequented stores. It is already gone from the larger places but some others still have it. As for if it'll be there in July, no idea but I'd have to say no. Except for maybe at some hole-in-the-wall store that no one goes to / buys craft beer from.

 

I will hopefully be having Exodus on tap in Chicago tomorrow, but I was also wondering the same thing.

I believe the rumors from a while ago were that it was going to be super limited and available in big bottles, correct?

 

Spoke with my rep this last week about Exodus and they said it probably won't hit distribution this year. Apparently it is actually tied to the Peruvian Morning infection since they brew this right before PM, so maybe not the coffee's fault? Either way, I wouldn't expect this in stores any time soon. Let's hope I'm wrong!
