CW Illumination Price

    Just curious what people are paying for it? Found out my Woodmans has had it sitting in the back for a few days (yay for ageing DIPAs at the store!:angry:) because of a UPC problem from the switch to 6ers... Talked to someone from La Crosse Beverage who made a few calls to his higher ups for me and got it priced which was very nice of him and I truly do appreciate it. But come to find out it is 16.50 a 6 pack... I got Hopslam cheaper then that, if you have ever been through the La Crosse area you know how cheap are beer is here so I was a little shocked. @Ri0 got it for 11.99 at his Woodmans, just wondering if his distributor/store made the mistake or mine, if its mine and they fix it I will just have to keep the receipt I guess.

    IIRC I paid 12.99 for my sixer, also at a Woodman's (Waukesha).

    12.49 in Appleton. And yea, it's super tasty this year.

    Cool, thanks I think the guy who tried to figure out the price may have messed up a bit, I guess I will save my receipt and see if I can get the difference when they actually figure out the price.

    so, just talked to the manager at the store and she found her invoice and talked to the distributor and found out that the price I paid is correct!?!?!? So either your guys stores never switched the 4 pack price or my distributor and Woodmans in my area is getting ripped on this one particular beer.

    Seems strange, I do not care that much, just a bit odd that in the area of the state that usually has the cheapest beer has this particular beer that is so much more then everywhere else.

    I believe it was completely Central Water's intention to make it a 6-pack with the same price as the 4-pack. I believe I paid $13-14 for it.

    I also thought this, that is why I was so shocked, I am hoping that other stores in my area will price better as I usually go through a couple cases of this stuff while it is out... However if it is a distributor problem I do not see other stores fairing any better:slight_frown:

    Thanks for all the responses everyone, you have confirmed that it is my distributors mistake, I guess I will have to hope they fix it or I will just have to wait for NG IIPA for my Wisconsin DIPA fix.

    That sucks because it is so good this year. Do you get Lakefront up there? The My Turn Johnson IIPA is making some noise and I will be trying it soon.

    Happened in IL too. I just got a case of the 6pks today at a price i'm not really comfortable with...gunna find out what the hell happened on Monday.

    I get Lakefront, Lakefront IPA is one of staples, we do not get there limited releases on the regular though, I really wanted to try this one, on a different note I was able to get some Devil over a Barrel.

    I'm pretty sure I paid $15 for a 6 pack at the CW Tap Room a week ago. Also saw that Discount in Milwaukee was selling 4 packs of what looked like last years batch... didn't check the price.
