All the OP was saying is it'd be nice to be able to look online and see whats on tap before driving over...some of us live an hour+ away, and would rather check a website than call on the phone and ask for a rundown on whats pouring.

When i played a lot of poker..someone had developed an app that let you see what games were running and how long the wait list was at almost every card room in the country...it was amazing...This would essentially be that, but showing you an up to the min list of whats available on tap at all breweries nation wide...

I guess it's true that if a business's product is good enough they don't have to worry about little things like communicating well to customers.

I would love to go there every week, but I live on the east coast and it's hard to devote half a day to it.

This. I know their tap list hasn't been changing much over the last few months. They do occasionally run out of Crank though which is the main reason I make the drive. I would think it would be easier to maintain a simple website than answer a bunch of phone calls asking the same questions.

It may just be me, but if I am going to Drive 122 Miles for a beer. I may call the tap room to make sure said beer is in fact in the cooler. Dunno, thats just me. Websites are hooked to computers----- Garbage in=garbage out....

FYI was in Gainesville 2 weeks ago, hit up 3 bottle shops and Big Nose cans were in every one of them. Tipples, Gator and Archer Rd ABC.

The problem is even if you call Cycle they never answer the phone. I've called them probably 20 times over the past year or two and never once had anyone answer.

It's not that difficult to post a facebook picture of the tap list a couple of times a day. I see no legitimate reason to not do so. I've drive over there on a couple of occasions for them to only have 4 beers or so on tap. I would be nice to know that kind of information in advance.

Simmer down Lionel----- I was respoding to Flahuskie and his trip to Gainesville.

I do belive that if a Brewery, Taproom has a FB page they should at least update it dailing as to what is on tap. With all the of the brewery choices in the Greater Tampa area this would help us plan our Day trips.

One suggestion... if you don't get them on the phone, leave a post on their FB page. Something like "Hey guys, thinking of driving in from _______ today/tomorrow. What's on tap?".

Before any jumps my butt, I know we would all prefer that breweries just post this without having to be asked. I'm merely offering another avenue.

I may be in the minority here, but I don't usually care what they have on tap...im going there over any other brewery in the area. Their beers blow all the other St Pete breweries out of the water. Green bench and 3 Daughters have some of the worst beers I have ever tried and I am not a fan of the bring your family to the brewery. We all don't want to sit there with your kids running around while you sit there and drink your beer. I would rather go where I know there is good beer no matter what beers are on tap and an adult atmosphere. If you live a good distance and want to know whats on tap, call or facebook message them...ive called them for things and gotten an answer 99% of the time. Yea, if you call on a Friday night or Saturday night, you may have trouble.

Can I like this multiple times?!?! I understand if someone is driving across the state just for Crank then call till they answer, but honestly there is always something great on tap.

To the OP, it's not that Cycle has poor communication, it's really that Doug does not care about being the biggest brewery in FL, so he does not stress on simple details like online tap lists. He really just wants to brew great beer for his local community. Be glad you at least live in driving distance, because I don't ever forse Cycle distributing beyond the local area.

I read someone complaing about the fact Cycle is cash only. As a former bar owner in the 90's when credit cards were relativly rare. being cash only makes it very easy for the owner to pull cash out of the business. $1000 for me , $2000 to go in the bank..... oh look only paying taxes on $2000 instead of $3000.

His excuse is that it cost too much to run credit cards. 2.75% or less with a Squareup.com is less than 14 cents on a Monday $5 crowler.

I am not complaining that they don't take credit cards as I live a ways away and if I know I am heading there I grab cash. But makes it hard for the Tampa Brewery tourist to stop in and try some fantastic beer.

I don't really care that much about the cash issue. It's well enough known that you need cash that if I'm planning a trip I know to stop by the bank. Cash only is also perfect for bottle releases because the line runs smoothly.

It does limit your ability to just stop in though as you said.

Completely agree with this! They clear a line of 100 or so people in less then 1 hr because it's cash only! Go to ccb and see how long it takes them to clear a line of a 100 people taking credit cards.

I am I big believer in cash only for bottle releases (unless you do an online presale like Green Bench has done with a separate pick up time before opening up to everyone).

I wish CCB and other breweries that do accept credit card would do separate Cash Only lines (I think De Garde has done this for some of their bottle releases) for their bottle releases

I've literally never had them not answer when I've called, and I call on an almost weekly basis.
