While disappointed the limit was only one today I have nothing but Kudos for Doug and Cycle on how the releases have been handled this week...other breweries should take note on how quickly they have done the bottle sales and more importantly how they communicated so well every day with their customers about what was going on...also want to give a shout out to all the people in line who have really been well behaved each day...have not seen or heard of anyone being an asshole all week...see everyone out there tomorrow

How quickly the line goes is the best part. Cash helps... and not checking IDs haha.

The worst part of any release is hitting opening time, and then waiting another hour or more just to pay.

They still had some at 10:50am - for those wondering.

Sounds like Doug wants to make as many people in town happy while ignoring the small percentage of people who would have been unhappy no matter the limit because they simply were in line before everyone else.

I think the 1pp was an awesome idea:
(estimated numbers to illustrate a point)

500 bottles - at 2pp = 225 Happy People + 25 entitled /die hard fans who would have wanted it to be 4pp + 250 or more Unhappy people who would have been there between 7am and 11am and completely missed out.

500 bottles - at 1pp = 475 Happy People + 25 entitled /die hard fans who would have wanted it to be 2pp + a few really late people who would have missed out either way and understand the situation.

Agreed. I'm always in favor of reducing limits to meet demand. Aside from more people getting a chance to buy, it also helps discourage black market sales.

Anything to help get more beer in the hands of people who actually want to drink it, at a reasonable price, I'm in favor of.

The best part: there is absolutely NO reason to get there stupid early. NO reason to line up earlier then 7:45.

Tuesday 6:30: on the road with same limit as everyone else at 8:20 (around 115 people back).
Wednesday 7:40: on the road w/ same limit at 8:30 (280 people back).

Why anyone is lining up early is beyond me. You don't even get on the road much earlier at all!

Cheers to Doug and the team.

Prolly lots of people similar to me in that getting there at 6 is about a half hour drive if you leave early from where you live to St Pete and it rapidly escalates to a one hour and possibly more drive this time of year especially this specific week if you leave later...i've personally enjoyed my time in line each day as i've chatted with the people around me...I am however starting to get sick of the constant question that the people going by in cars are asking..."what's everyone doing in line?"

I come from Lakeland, so yes, an hour drive was an extra 20 minutes today. But the 20 extra minutes in the car is a lot less than the hour + standing/sitting in line. Still had enough time to get my bagel breakfast sandwich too!

Last year on Friday the guy brandishing a 22oz steel reserve while hanging out of the passenger side of a beater Chevy Beretta made it worth it

Showed up at 9 and got a bottle with no line.

I highly recommend getting their early. That way there is more people at 8 and Doug lowers limits so I can show up later and get one. Thanks guys!

So now that Wednesday is tapped, anyone care to give a quick recap of the "Weekday" beers so far, and what you thought of each of them?
