Cycle BA day

Have not opened any of my bottles yet and have only made it back down for Wednesday Draft which was great but I can tell you the brewery staff seems to be partial to Tuesday which maybe not coincidentally had the least amount on draft

 

I had a buddy that was in town only for today. He managed to grab a bottle of Wednesday (lucky bastard was able to just walk up after the line had cleared.)

Since he was only in town for today and there wasn't any other TBBW events he was interested in, he offered to open his Wednesday at lunch with us. So I reciprocated the favor and opened one my extras each of Monday and Tuesday. Here was the initial impressions of them that I shared on social media.

Monday - Cinnamon forward. moderate maple finish. The coffee is hidden but there.
Tuesday - thinner body than most Cycle stouts. Very smooth with a nice barrel character. Not my favorite "non adjunct" Cycle stout (prefer DBR or Lost Dos) but definitely not a "Garbage Stout"
Wednesday- amazing smell. My favorite of the week so far. The cinnamon and hazelnut work nicely together. Cinnamon takes the lead on taste making this more drinkable (for me) than Nooner 8.

I never stood in a beer line, but I am curious if there are a lot of repeat customers from day to day. That would be a lot of beer bucks. Hunahpu Day is a major event for my pocket.

There are a large number of repeat customers. People from the area or in town for TBBW are going every day to put together M-F Set(s)

 

Sold out. They never even cleared the line today. Total bottle count was 1320. I got there a couple minutes before 9am and was 429th in line according to Doug

 

I didn't go at all but was considering going at around 11am. This is bullshit.

 

If you were 429 and everyone got 3, that's only 1287 bottles. Your math is off.

How is his math off? He got bottles, he was # 429, that means 11 people behind him got bottles as well ( if everyone bought 3)

Pretty sure they were being humorous...playing off the fact that people will always complain about something.
