Cycle BA day

My friend who I'm staying with for Tampa Beer Week was nice enough to stand in the line and get me a ticket. I'll be bringing a bunch of Hill Farmstead and possibly some Treehouse and other good New England things down with me to share during all of Tampa Bay Beer Week. I can't wait to see everyone I've met during TBBW in years past and meet some of you for the first time. Cheers.

 

Is there usually a spreadsheet made for the Cycle day share or is it just kind of a free for all?

 

Free for all. Last year it was per table but this year, I think it will be more collective because of the location.

 

BA Day from 12-3ish. Bottle share that night. Then Huna Day. Liver do not fail me.

 

Man I don't know how you guys can squeeze bottle shares into an already super drunken weekend. I admire you. Show me the way

 

What about all the brewery features at Green Bench that night? Fonta Flora, Side Project, Jester King, Wicked Weed and more!

 

They'll all be at Huna Day and our share is normally pretty fantastic if I miss it all my friends won't be super jelly of all the whales I check in.

 

Green Bench Foeder Event was great last year...for some reason it's become cool for The Beer Geek Crowd to "dog" on Green Bench Beer and The Brewery lately I have noticed

 

It's not been a recent thing. Foeder for Thought is, in fact, a terrific event. Let's let those sleeping dogs lie.

 

I'm sure it's a great event. I have no problem with their beer I just like several other breweries in the area much more. They do a lot of Belgian style stuff and it's just not my thing. I also like flavor explosions from beer and their stuff is much more subtle. I would add I have several friends that are not even close to beer nerds and none of them like Green Bench that much. Khris also pissed off a lot of locals for his palate comment a couple of years ago.

Saying all of that, if Foeder was not a day I'm already busy with other beer events I would be there.

Late to the party, but for those that stood in line (like me) but missed physical tickets. Doug sent out an email last night saying that if you signed their list, your entry would still be granted. Pretty classy move on their part. From the brief seconds that I talked to him, it seems like the logistical nightmare of pleasing all of the Florida beer geeks is a real pain and he feels sorry for it.

 

That's some stand up work right there.

 

A buddy made sure me and lady would have tickets, I can't wait.

Any word yet on whether Cycle is going to have daily bottle releases again this year?...sounds "iffy" based on how the neighbors are not liking the lines these days

 

Hopefully details are released soom! I'm antsy just like everyone else

 

Same....have heard nothing about the usual Rapp Gose Bottle Release either

 

They already said on Facebook they wouldn't.

 

Only thing for sure is a bottle for BA Day attendees.

 

They didn't say they wouldn't just said it wouldn't be at open.
