From what I've heard they are planning a considerable amount of bottles so I'm inclined to believe that they will be released coinciding with beer week

I guess I'll be happy to just enjoy whatever the bottle is for Saturday!

Hoping to have a good time out there!

They posted on Facebook that they would probably be opening at 11am everyday but no bottles at open, which leaves me to believe there will be bottles everyday or somedays. If there wasnt im sure he would have said otherwise.

Bottles will be released at random during normal business hours (no inside info, but this idea makes the most logical sense). If people dont know the time a bottle will be released then there's no way for his neighbors to be pissed off by lining up early or having someone make numbers at 8am. Also, there might be 3-4 times as much beer released but it doesnt say of how many types. Rather than 5 @ 250, it could be 3 @1500 bottles. He'll still sell out all of his bottles but with fewer releases and more available bottles will allow it to get into more hands. I don't see a more than 2pp limit on them as well.

Keep in mind too, that Doug is the only one that handles money for bottle releases so doing 2 or 3 releases rather than 5 actually gives him a break while still making more $$.

The easiest way to do this is just sell all of them at the BA Day on Friday with all attendees having an allotment they can purchase if they want.

This is the best option because I have a day job and can't stand around Cycle all day waiting for a bottle to maybe drop and then add in all the people in town. I will be at BA Day and will mean I can get all of them because I'm part of the elite club that had someone stand in line to get me a ticket to BA Day.

Yeah...I'm not feeling "random" Cycle Bottle Releases at all during the day...that would lead to Who Concert in Cincinnati type chaos...last thing Cycle wants is people hanging out/loitering all day nursing one beer waiting for bottles to drop

Sitting at the bar tonight and they are folding new weekday shirts with a different design from last year. Looks like something is definitely in the works!

I'll be stocking up on cycle stuff.

Will the brewery be open at their location on Friday or have stuff at the shuffle board club for ba day?

The brewery has been open in previous years when the event was at Peg's.

I shot them a FB message asking this exact question; they've confirmed they'll be open regular hours on Friday.

    From facebook:

Official Barrel Aged Weekday release plans:

We are doing a M-F set of beers this year, plus maybe a couple surprises sprinkled in.

Details are a bit different and we are going to go back on our word about releasing at opening, the big difference is we did some checking and we can open at 8 AM, so we will for bottle sales.
This means lining up early is just fine, the coffee shop next door opens at 6, so go the other way but no other business on our block opens before 9 so we hope to avoid bothering anybody.
We are sure this will not please everybody, it doesn't even really please us, but it was the best option we could decide on after weeks of deliberation.
We will be pouring our usual beers for any folks looking for a breakfast beer, Cream and Sugar, Please? We will not have any BA taps in the morning, we will be waiting until 5 PM to tap that day's BA beer and it is likely that will be the only BA tap of the day as we are holding that vast majority of the kegs for Friday's event.
Prices, limits, all of that will be announced morning of, Monday will be the highest limit without question.

Parking - The meters out front don't start til 9, the 2 hour parking around our block starts at 8, the bank next door has security to keep their lot clear so that will not be an option and as always the holocaust museum will tow. Friday event attendees, there will be an announcement just for you regarding parking near the shuffleboard club but the gist is there looks like a lot but pretty much any parking lot is off limits so its going to be street parking.

Friday we will not be releasing any bottles at the brewery and will instead open at 10 or 11, firm times will be updated by Thursday.

I heard from a friend last night this was Cycle's Plan but I wanted to wait and see them make it official...that's definitely going to make it tough
