Cycle BA day

I like how you left the part about him not having any inside info out of your quote of his...

 

The fact that he added some qualifiers after it doesn't change the fact that he made a definitive statement about something he clearly knew nothing about... as if cycle taking any other approach to releasing bottles would be simply impossible and illogical.

If you want to baselessly speculate on what they're going to do, that's fine I guess. I'm not personally a fan of neckbeards telling successful business owners how they should run things, but OK, i can see where others may disagree. But if you're going to do it, make it clear that it's baseless speculation... "I think that cycle is going to..." "If cycle doesn't want their neighbors to be angry, they will..."

 

It absolutely changes it. By adding that he did not have any inside info, it makes it speculation, not fact.

He was offering an opinion about what he thinks is best.

If you don't like beer nerds telling Brewers what they think they should do, you should probably never come on this site. It's what 90% of these posts are. It's what we do.

 

We can agree to disagree. When you begin with a definitive statement about how "bottles WILL be released", it certainly doesn't seem like you're just offering an opinion. If someone is offering an opinion, you generally begin the statement with "I think" or "they should".

But whatever, not a big deal at all. Just was poking a little fun at someone who made a dumb statement in my opinion. Was not attempting to get into a 10 post debate that derails the thread.

 

Ok... so let's get down to the real question...

What time are you guys getting to cycle?

 

OMG....someone was wrong on information on a beer release??? That must be like... the first time evarr.

 

30-40 people in line at 6:00 am...wow!

 

I'm actually kind of glad I can't make any of these. I'll just drink them on Friday

 

Line isn't that bad right now. People sitting and stuff so it spreads the line out a little I think.

 

Line around the corner of the next street at 645. I may be grumpy because it is early, but it is getting to where this is not worth it

 

It's only going to get worse as more people arrive for TBBW.

Monday is a Maple bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee Cinnamon Imperial Stout.

Price is $30 each (cash only)

Limit is at least 4 per person.

 

sounds like they made a lot of this one. Good to hear.

Hopefully someone can post up here later around 5pm the draft list for today and thoughts on Monday.

 

Per Cycle's FB page: "We will not have any BA taps in the morning, we will be waiting until 5 PM to tap that day's BA beer and it is likely that will be the only BA tap of the day as we are holding that vast majority of the kegs for Friday's event."

So it sounds like they will only have each day's release on tap at 5pm. Although I could see a situation in which maybe the previous day's BA release is still available on tap (depending on the crowds)

 

Very efficient as always. Wondering how long it lasted. It felt like the people who started at the back could have reached the front within 30 mins. Wondering if it lasted though.

Side note: First time I haven't seen Doug's award winning smile handling the sales haha

 

had a buddy pretty far back in line (down the street and around the corner) and had his bottles in hand at 8:19 - sounds smooth.

 

jesus christ dude... really? he literally said that he did not have any insider info, but since he didn't add the correct qualifier to his statement immediately preceding that, you jump down his throat?

Just got back...well handled bottle release..word is besides the daily bottle releases they have 3 other bottles going this week..Pallet 5..a Barrel Aged Sour and Unknown...no word on when those 3 will be released though

 

Sandvagina also missed that Cycle themselves posted:
"Beer Week plans - we will not be doing bottles at noon each day, too many lines and the block got pretty antsy by Friday. It is likely we will open early, possibly as early as 11 each day but definitely not bottles at open. More details when we figure them out."

Which, you know, the guy was referencing and pretty much what he said. There was no speculation.

I guess we all need to take this word out of our vocabulary otherwise people WILL sperg out about it.

 

Alright guys, get the thread back on track. Who gives a fuck now that we know how things are going to work.
