I read it different. Seems that the friday bottle will be available at the brewery this year and the festival will have its own separate bottle.

I read it that way for this year also, though last year it was the way @NoleBeerNoleFun described it.

It was a bit confusing to read, but you guys may be right..they sold 6 Bottles last year with Pallet 5 being sold Saturday Morning...this year M-F may all be at the Brewery each morning and this years "Pallet 5" may be The Festival Only Bottle...would make sense

Definitely says the M-F bottles will be sold at the taproom and the BA day beer will be a separate bottle most likely from the Prichard Rum barrels.

Did I read it correctly that you can only purchase tix for the fest at Cycle? Or can you buy them online?

From FB (so you don't have to add your opinions to confuse folks)

We have been getting a fair amount of questions about Barrel Aged Day 2017 - here are a few things we know.

The event will be on Friday, March 10 at the St Pete Shuffleboard Club (same place as last year) and will run from 12-4.

Tickets will go on sale in January, we are not sure what day we want to do that yet but we will announce it at least a week in advance. You will be able to purchase multiple tickets, 4 seemed about right last year but we will make that announcement when we decide on the date - as usual cash only and sales will be at the tasting room. Ticket price will be $75 and you must have the full name of every person you buy a ticket for.

We will be selling VIP tickets this year for $100, these will mean you can get in an hour before the general admission, 11 AM instead of Noon and have first, and less crowded, crack at the tap list. We are not adding more people to the festival, the event will be the same size as last year.

There will be a bottle included in the ticket, we don't have solid information to share on what that will be or if there will be an extra available for purchase but as of right now our plans are for there to be a M-F set sold at the tasting room at 8 AM each day of the week including Friday and the bottle included in the ticket will be a festival attendee release only - almost certainly something out of our latest batch of Prichard's rum barrels.

We will run operations much like last year with wrist band pickup starting at 9 AM, you will need ID and your name will be on a list so checking in early is encouraged to make entry easier.

We have a few improvements planned for the festival layout, including a tent or two.

Lastly - There is a ferry running this year! Almost directly from the Marriott in downtown Tampa to downtown St Petersburg, walking distance to the fest. We will not have DD tickets, we strongly encourage walking, ferrying, taking an Uber or taxi or some combination. There is also extremely limited parking around the festival but plenty within a few blocks that is free overnight for anybody who feels they need to drive to the fest but wisely chooses not to drive home afterwards.

What is there to decipher here? It says the plans are for a M-F release at the brewery each day at 8am. Pretty clear. It goes on to say "and the bottle included in the ticket will be a festival attendee release only " no reference to it being Friday in any way.

For people who went previous years, what time do people start lining up to buy tickets?

I won't be able to make the fest, but I could grab a bottle on Thursday at the tasting room. What time should I show up to get in line?

Hard telling. Last year ticket sales were rumored to start at 3pm and went on sale at 11am instead with pretty short notice. Last years ticket sales were also on a Tuesday and this thing only gains more hype each year. With ticket sales being on a Saturday this year and a specific time set, is get there earrrrrly.

If you're asking about what time to get in line Thursday to buy Thursday's beer ... no later than 0745.

I'd bet that Doug does what has become his standard: He walks the line at 0745, counts the people who are there then, divides that number into the bottle count and sets limits.

    Some caveats:
    * The earlier your place in line, obviously, the quicker you get through when sales start (again, I'm betting) at 0800.
    * There is some risk (albeit low) that there could be a day when the number of people in line at 0745 exceeds the number of bottles available.
    * The other danger of being WAY back in the line on low-limit days is that friends let friends "chat" with them (aka cut) so that those in the back keep getting further back.
    * Muling activity is high on days when it's been pre-announced that limits are low. (I am NOT intending to start a debate on the practice; I'm just telling it like it is.)

Agreed. In fact, you might already be SOL if you're not currently sitting in a camping chair along the 500 block of Central Ave ...

I'm pretty sure all of this applies to the Rare Scoooop release last year. I was in the mid 200's when I got in line, but by the time Doug came around with numbers I was 330 something. Peculiar how that happens.
