Not sure about that, all the profitzbros were going to be at AC anyway. Doubt there were many people who were planning to do CCB but not Cycle.

how were the lines. IF they where really short. this may be a good way to make the best out of a bad situation. They just say that they tested bottles and theya re all good and release in a few weeks. (devils advocate)

So curious when they last opened a bottle? To find out the day of is rough...but I guess better than later on? Sucks for any brewery. Tons of money down the drain...

It would suck for out of towners, but I just hope the other bottles are ok. Will make getting them much less stressful.

Wonder when they'll change from no releases to updating the other bottles are OK ( if they are of course)

You would think they would just pop open a bottle from each day to check.

That is a lot of revenue they will lose and a lot of expenses they will not recoup. My guess is they do not have insurance coverage for something like this and if that's the case they need to get rid of their broker ASAP

Popping one bottle from each day won't give you a definitive answer, though. Some may taste fine right now but will go to shit later. Sweet avi, though.

It will take some lab tests and random bottle sampling to figure out what the issue is. I think the best case scenario is it's due to the adjuncts for Monday, like the nuts. Worst case it's from the bottling line. And second worse case is it's from the barrels and if they blend barrels etc, it could be really hard to tell what is and isn't infected. Either way, sucks for Cycle, but they did the absolute correct thing. Kudos to them for handling properly and hopefully it's isolated to Monday.

I see them saying the are thinking about refunding the “cost” of the f/o bottle. Honestly that Doesn’t seem legal. How can they just arbitrarily assign a random value to the bottle. The $100 ticket included a bottle. not fulfilling both and than changing the promise after the fact seems like a big legal issue to me.

What is the legal issue? You're buying a ticket for $100. A bottle is just an extra that is included. Was there a reliance on the bottle being valued at a certain price point? You can't use the "trading" value or resale value.

The bottle was absolutely not just “an extra”. They sold tickets that guaranteed two things, an event would occur and there would would be a festival only bottle included. I’m in no way shape or form using trading or resell value.

So they could give you an infected bottle, and then recall it. I think you’d rather they handle this the way it is being discussed.

Sure but can you prove it wasn't an extra? Did they anywhere lay out the cost of the festival is X and the bottle is Y and Y portion of your payment is for the bottle? I'm really hurting to find an actionable claim against Cycle for not providing an infected beer when they're going to refund it likely at the price point they would have sold it.

Makes the decision easy. Start at AC bright and early, then head to CCB.

It's cherry coffee. Just give the neckbeards what they want. No one will know if it is infected or not. Carry on children.:stuck_out_tongue:

Really wasn’t trying to sound entitled just seemed odd that the very day they release a $35 bottle that is infected they would then suggest F/O returns at a $30 price point. Last year it was rarerscoop so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect a top notch beer.

Seems pretty simple to me the cost of the bottle will be $35 the same as the other BA stouts. They have set a value of $35 for their BA stouts and that's what would be used. There is no way this becomes a legal issue as no on will go through court costs over any other perceived value. I'm sure if you are unhappy they will refund your ticket.
