    A buddy and I shared a Whalez yesterday, I found it to be an OK beer but certainly nothing I'd peel off $25 to try again. I'm a huge Cycle fan, and wish OBB all the best for future success but didn't think this one lived up to its name by a wide margin.

    sorry to bring up an old thread, but wanted a precise answer. Is there a list of what adjuncts/barrel treatment was for each of the cycle weekday beers?

    I haven't seen a "list" per se, but should be easy enough to find by looking at cycles Facebook/Instagram posts from TBBW(March 7-11)

    Monday: Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged w/ Coffee & Cinnamon
    Tuesday: "Garbage" Stout (so called because it contains 3 different types of grains: barley, wheat, rye) aged in Bourbon Barrels
    Wednesday: Aged in Bourbon Barrels w/ Hazelnut & Cinnamon
    Thursday: Maple Bourbon Barrel DOS
    Friday: Colorado Whiskey Barrel Aged w/ Vanilla & Cocoa Nibs

    I was there during Huna weekend as well and they had Pallet 5 on draft but it wasn't on the board. The bartender told me that they usually don't put that kind of stuff on the board, you just have to ask.

    Funky Buddha, CCB, Cycle, Angry Chair, etc. all make really great stouts. In fact, I'd go as far to say that that style is the best that they produce. Not sure why that is, since I agree that the climate would have you thinking otherwise, but that's just the way it is! Nothing like pounding a 10+% ABV stout on a hot summer day here in FL! :wink:

    Cycle Stouts are awful and some of the worst swill ever brewed....I recommend everyone stay away from Cycle the next time they release a bottle or two..All BA'ers cooperation would be appreciated in this matter

    they actually had a rye stout on tap at the last release before BA week... which was the DBR release if memory serves. it was absolutely great.

    my guess would be that Doug doesn't tap many stouts because he puts them all in barrels and then sells out of them in 3 hours.

    Nope.. Just someone who decided to use this thread as his own personal google!

    Because why get answers from a database in minutes when you can have 10 people answer your questions directly over the course of multiple hours while bringing up 3 yr old infection rumors?
