Cycle/ccb bottle releases

Decoherance still on tap at Ccb, tasting awesome

 

Had that when it was on tap a couple of weeks ago, really great beer!!

 

Looks like another week of releases in August from Cycle

 

I'm going to assume those are coffee beans on the bottle

 

Coffee beans or Awkward lipstick kiss marks?!?!.....

 

i wish so bad there was just an anniversary party where the beers were poured throughout the day and people who purchased a ticket would receive a set of these beers. At a certain point, people have to run out of sick days to come to these releases. Hell, Doug could charge 200.00 for the party/fest and I am sure people would pay it for the convenience of not having to show up every morning.

 

At the end of the day, the beers are selling out in a timely manner using this morning format so I don't see it changing any time soon.

 

My guess is going to be a barrel aged stout treated with different coffees, maybe a maple coffee stout in the bunch.

 

oh i agree they will continue to sell out in relative quick fashion. i have not attended a lot of th weekday releases, but I would think Doug would be less stressed by doing the release once, rather than having to get up to the brewery at 7:30 every morning and counting. Their fests always are great. Just an idea. Which has absolutely zero barring on the release lol.

As much as I'd like maple and other adjuncts, I'm not sure they'll be in there. I think it's gonna be a different coffee stout every day of the week show casing the origin of the coffee bean. Another M-F release

 

Other than the Hazelnut treatments everything else lately has been a huge disappointment.

 

Huge disappointment? I don't know. I'll agree that some have been better than others but nothing I'd consider a huge disappointment. Really enjoyed the last round of beers they did. I'd say they went 4 for 5

 

I shouldnt have said the word huge. I really like Cycle but it seems like as of lately their BA stouts just arent up to par with what they have released in the past.

 

Agree, I haven't had a bad bottle yet, understand the sentiment that some of the more recent beers haven't been special or anything ground breaking but still really good BA stouts. I suppose it's a fair opinion to be disappointed given the costs have risen and the adjuncts haven't quite lived up to the hype. Some fatigue factored in with the numerous releases, but the beers are still damn good. And I'm sure we'll see some more stuff like DBR and Hazelnut. It's possible the larger batches need some tweaking.

 

I'll gladly take all these disappointing and underwhelming Cycle beers off everyone's hands
