I am sure it will. I have been on the other side many, many times!

Wish I wouldve known I could go back through. I had enough cash to get 4 bottles, but was happy to get 2 and left when I got them. I couldve hooked a couple people up who couldnt make it. Next time Ill explore that option.

Got there at 4:25 and they were opening the last case as I came to the counter. This was definitely not the same availability as the silent release the was Hazelnut last time there was a release.

Really great seeing everyone! Smooth release, really solid beer, great design! It was kind of sweet but strong, the barrel was just right, no heat whatsoever, just hit me hard like Black Tuesday. Cheers!

Yeah, this was really damn good. I'm happy to see a different beer other than DOS with adjuncts in a bottle. They really did a great job masking the alcohol in this. Really pumped to see how it develops down the line.

It was odd to see that he was OK with some people getting back in the line once everyone there had gotten their allotment. It was only 3:45 or so when everyone in line had gotten their allotment. Maybe he didn't want to have to stick around for a few more hours since he handles the releases personally? I don't know.

Not that many people got a 2nd allotment led alone a case though...the comment of "lots" of people getting cases is a bit misleading IMO. I left just as people were starting to get back in line and those guys didn't get a case. FWIW

FTFY. Also, agree with everything else you said.

No, I meant it was nice to see a beer that wasn't DOS with adjuncts. IE. Not hazelnut or coffee cinnamon or whatever. I'm aware this doesn't have adjuncts.

Are you sure hazelnut is DOS? I was under the impression it was a different base or the base they used for the BA Rye stout.

I can never tell. I just assume any beer of theirs hovering around 10 or 10.5% is DOS. Probably not the best way to gauge everything but oh well. At least with the jump in ABV, we know this new one is not DOS.

This would be much easier if he put the base stouts on tap. I never understood why they aren't regularly on tap. I'd love to taste just regular ole DOS.

Ew. Who wants to drink a non barrel aged stout?

maybe he's like bourbon county... the base stout is designed to be barrel aged so it's potentially not great on it's own

If that's the case, I would like a cycle stout that IS good on it's own.

i'm just guessing. he's made non-ba stouts that are great before, they just aren't the base for DOS or any of the latest BA stuff.

DOS (Dougs Original Stout) used to be on tap occasionally at Pegs, and it was/is a great non-BA stout. I wish it was on tap regularly. My guess is he just likes filling up barrels.

Anybody know if Cycle is still selling those DBR snifters?
