I have seen the day of the week stouts popping up in trade forums and whatnot. What are they? I think they are an offshoot of peg's cantina (not sure if its going to be a new brewery or just another location). I have not seen what makes them different. I am assuming different barrels or something.

@ohyeahitsmuff , Cycle Brewing and Peg's are the same people. It started at Peg's and has since moved to a new location in downtown St Pete. Same awesome beer at both locations. The bottle releases for the past year have been at Cycle (and the big barrel aged party was today at Peg's - tradition!)

Examples of past Cycle releases include: Nooner 6, 7 and 8, DCB Dos, RareR Dos, Rare Dos, etc. Those were all made available at Cycle. Doug is a magician when it comes to BA beers.

I'll post a full list of the Mon-Fri beers in a moment.

Monday - Cherry Vanilla BA Imperial Stout
Tuesday - Single Malt Whiskey Barrel Aged Batch 500 (rye imperial stout)
Wednesday - Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Batch 500 (same stout as Tuesday, different barrel)
Thursday - And Plus (blend of Vanilla, Cocoa Nibs, Cinnamon, Chili - I think?)
Friday - BA Stout - blend of various stouts and barrels - all variations were not disclosed

Trade value is crazy, they sound delicious offere vanilla rye+jk bdbdb+cw17+ for them and for the most part have gotten crickets. Don't know what other beers I can offer to even attempt to land them. If it's not kbbs, assassin, or sr-71 don't think I'll land

Yeah, unfortunately these will not be easy to land. Because of how low the bottle counts are, I'm assuming one of two things with people who have these bottles. They either A: want to drink them, or B: want to trade them for something of equal value i.e. TG stouts, DBH, BAA, etc.

Someone with a bottle of Thursday should prove me wrong though so Josh can share this bad boy with me

If anyone cares, 2 Monday 2 Tuesday 2 Thursday, a CCB crowler of bourbon soaked oak chip blend of winter warmer/zhukof/cherry cordial(LiL base) and a Dichotomous Hibernal are in the mail for WWBV, A&T, Fou, Sara Cask 200, dG Biere Rose, Kona Speedway +?

Really lucked out getting Tue/Thur extras! WWBV has been a personal whale, can't wait to crack that one!

I've seen FT: M-F posted for KBBS or KBBS x2, but seen little interest aside from the FL folks hyping them up as being worth more than that. Curious to hear if anyone has actually closed aside from iong on what they were looking for?

not sure why you feel the need to say "FL folks hyping them up as being worth more than that."

anyone who's familiar with Doug and/or Peg's/Cycle barrel-aged beers already knows they're of the quality that's being discussed.

    fucking 2015ers

While normally I'd agree with the sentiment of "fucking 2015ers" I think people are taking the trade value of these beers way out of hand. Thursday for kbbs 1:1? There's no way that's happening. Or the set for cck + cc? Or kbbs x2 for the set. People are trying to capitalize on it just like people are trying to capitalize on sr 71 and any other new hyped beer.

Sure cycle/pegs makes good beer, but not near that quality.

^ I said that because every thread that's been posted someone from FL has said, "don't take any less than that", "trade isn't worth it, better off keeping", "sets worth more" etc, with no one else posting in the threads. I did not notice a single one of those threads close (KBBS x 2 for set, Thursday for KBBS, etc), hence why I made the statement and asked the question to better understand what they are actually going for. My apologies if you were offended.

I've had a few of the cycle beers. They are definitely good, but I've never been overwhelmed to the point I'd give up KBBS for one. Maybe Thursday is just that good though? That's why I asked what has actually closed.

    Well said.

I kinda of regret trading away the Wednesday. I had Tuesday on draft this weekend (it was great) and it reminded me how amazing Wednesday is/was. If it wasn't for the fact that I've been really wanting to get a bunch of de Garde beers and I had it to do over again...I'd break up the set so I could keep my Tuesday and Wednesday.

Of course, that regret will most likely disappear once I start cracking open those fruit bu's

They also issued a disclaimer with all Nooner 8 bottles. "Fairly well" doesn't exude confidence. I love Cycle and would rank them in my top 3 breweries for stouts. Jackie O's used to have a ton of issues and Rum Oil of Aphrodite isn't aging well. Probably for similar reasons that Nooner 8 isn't aging well. Both are brewed with nuts and aged in rum barrels. Coincidence? You be the judge, but both are falling off incredibly fast.

I'm hoping to trade away my Friday bottle. No idea what I want, but I was thinking about trying to get Monday for it. The chocolate cherry coffee BA stout from 2014 was amazing, so I hope it's similar minus of the coffee.

Off topic but I don't understand posts like these. How can people tell how fast something is falling off? How many times have you drank it? Do you have a barrel of it at your house that you take samples from every couple days to monitor its condition?
