Going on Monday. Never been. I've heard Cycle doesn't do flights but they have the barrel aged stuff, while Peg's has flights but doesn't have the special beers.

What should I try and where do you recommend I go if I have to pick one?

I'm going to Cigar City and Rapp and am driving so would like to get a bunch of different samples, rather than drinking one full beer. Thanks.

PS: Any good bottle shops in Tampa area (gonna be in Brandon/Valrico) that may have some older CCB stuff/any out of the ordinary things? Most of my money for bottles is gone for IP trades but I could go a little over budget.

Kingdom Liquors in Brandon has a good selection.

    Going there on Friday night.

I know of Kingdom, Winthrop, Total/Whole Foods in Tampa and Luekens.

I would recommend Pegs, for the food and the atmosphere. They have Cycle Brewing beers there (that is where they were as of earlier this year). Peg's does have special beers when they are being brewed. Get the burrito.

Cycle as of Saturday still had Nooner B4, RareR, and BA DDT on tap. I'd definitely go there. Hit Pegs up first for food, then go to Cycle and grab some BA goodness.

    Nice.

I just read on facebook that Peg's will be closed at 3 on the 22nd and re-opens on the 26th so I hope Cycle is actually open on the 23rd.

Just a quick FYI Cycle is cash only.

If it eases your disappointment any - Peg's is always closed on Mondays. Cycle should be open, as far as I know.

If you're still looking for a bottle shop with some older CCB bottles, BM me.

What time? I was there around 8pm and they only had Nooner. Would've liked to have some DDT. I did see that they tapped Rum BA Vanilla Pumqueen yesterday, though.

BofA, Regions, and Suntrust all have locations that are within a few blocks of Cycle. If you don't use one of those, stop first.

Did you ask? Only Nooner was listed on the board, the other stuff was available but you had to ask for it.

That's one thing I've learned about Cycle...always ask if they have stuff on tap that's not listed on the chalkboard.

Duly noted...I was there Sunday afternoon and didn't think to ask even though I did wonder what was on the other 12 taps they have.

@GameFreac , the Unicycle Citra is stellar... be sure to grab this if it's still up

Also, ask if you can get a growler of the BA stuff. It's pricy ($40 w/glass) but well worth it IMO.

    $40? I think I'm ok. Lol.

If you're driving down from GA (not sure what part) and you are going down I-75, you should consider stopping in Gainesville to visit Swamphead. It is 2-3 hours away from St.Pete, give you a nice break. They just released bottles of Saison Du Swamp recently (and I think they still have the brett version too)

Not really different than paying $20-$25 for many bombers of BA beer. Well, except the fact that these will be better. To each his own though.

    I
I went last summer on the way home. If I didn't set up so many ip trades and pay ppl to hold stuff for me I'd def check em out again.
