Yes - definitely a good spot. Also hit up Green Bench a few blocks away.

yeah that's their only location and its only a few blocks away from green bench. if you have a car, you can drive about 25 mins north and hit Pair O'Dice and Rapp Brewing, and if you have more time, you can head a little further north and hit 7venth Sun in dunedin.

How often do they have stouts on tap? Let's be honest, I'm going there for those..

Really cash only? Doesn't matter.. Just want to be prepared.

Just go and find out if they have any on tap. It's worth a visit regardless.

No, they rarely have stouts on tap. It's a once of year kind of deal.

It's hit or miss with the stouts. They will put them on randomly and during releases. The 4 Roses Rye stout was one for a month or so. They had Nooner 8 on for a long time and I believe Rare Dos was even on along side of the 4 Roses Rye for quite a while.

It all comes down to luck. I wish Doug had just regular ole DOS on tap as an option but I've never seen it.

Within walking distance are five other breweries.

    Green bench
    Pinellas ale works
    St Pete brewing
    3 daughters
    Cage brewing

I also think urban comforts is open now too

@dwagner003 You'll need food at some point and if you need a good spot in St. Pete hit up my favorite place Engine No. 9. Any of their gourmet burgers are incredible but my favorite is their sriracha wings. Nice craft draft list too.

No argument that their stouts are wonderful but if there aren't any/many stouts on draft don't leave without trying their IPAs. Some of the best in Florida period. As much as I love their stouts I appreciate their IPAs even more. Crank, Fixie, Rickshaw, whatever IPAs are on give them a try.

I'm planning to be there for hours, regardless. I don't know if I'll ever have a reason to be in Tampa again, so I am going to take advantage of my time there.

The Haven in Tampa had the Rye Barrel aged Stout on up in till a week or so ago. Might want to try calling them and see of its still on.

Urban Comfort is serving its Hefeweizen now. It is quite tasty, a little lighter (not thin, but light) than a traditional hefe.

I'm with you on appreicating the hoppy stuff more, especially on Crowler Mondays ($6 for 32-oz crowlers)!
