I tried a can last night. There was a ton of floaties. While it resembles a NE IPA, it drinks more like a malt-forward, southern style IPA. The was almost no bite from the hops although it did leave a fairly bitter after taste. Overall, I found it interesting and I suspect Czig Meister may tinker with the recipe.

i wonder how they are spacing their dry hopping and if they are using the run of the mill pellets or if they are finishing it off with cryo/lupulin.

nice to see they seem to be on the right track.

I saw Fall Spice on tap near me tonight. Is that the same beer as Oktoberfest? It's not quite clear to me through my Google search..

I'm not familiar with Fall Spice but the Oktoberfest cans were clearly labeled "Oktoberfest." It was one of my favorite Märzens this year.

    thanks!

I had the Oktoberfest on nitro...was interesting! At the same bar I saw they replaced that nitro handle with the "Fall Spice." Wasn't sure what was what

I had no sediment in mine, but I poured it very carefully. What was left in the can however was definitely some brown/green sludge.

I'll be more careful next time; no hard pour. The floaties weren't a problem for me. It's like a poor man's Heady Topper:wink:

It's funny you say that cause I feel the same way especially with the level of bitterness. I still have a few cans. Next one I'll give a hard pour and see what I get haha

Only one I had from the series is Shipwright. Very good beer. Live about 20 minutes from Czig

I thought Shipwright was an entirely different beer, not part of the Deep Sea Series? I've never had Shipwright though so I'm not certain.

Brewery is over an hour from me and I've only been there once. If I lived closer I'd go more for sure.

It is. Shipwright is their IPA.

    Admiral is their DIPA.

I may be wrong, but I thought it fell in that grouping. Either way, their stuff is well above average. Will be frequenting it more once camping season starts (campground 15 minutes from Czig)

I haven't tried the Barleywine yet but I am excited to do so. If you are referring to Dark Sovereign as the db quad, yes I've tried it and it is great.

Was at Czig Meister Wednesday. I'm all for freshies and supporting local breweries. Was saddened when I ordered their Flagships and instead of fresh pours from the tap they poured old cans into the pint glass...:slight_frown:

Wait what?! That's really weird and never heard of them or any brewery doing that. That doesn't seem right.

I would message them and ask them wtf is up with that.
