I will be out in D.C. from Chicago for a few days right around Thanksgiving. Mainly looking for some reccs on bottle shops if anyone has any suggestions. I've already planned on hitting up Churchkey, and was thinking about setting up a few trades to limit the hunting time.

Any ideas on can't miss stops would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

Couple favorites in DC are Meridian Pint, Jack Rose, Black Squirrel, and Big Hunt, also depends on where you're staying. PM'ing you about an IP trade.

Second on above's recs. As for bottle shops, Connecticut Ave Wine and Liquor in Dupont is pretty solid.

After you visit Churchkey, run across the street to the Whole Foods on P Street, which probably has DC's best beer selection.

I second Whole Foods on Pst. Chevy Chase Wine and Spirits ain't bad if you can get up there too. Finally, hit the new Blue Jacket Brewing. Heard great things. Just google it. Cheers!

Blue Jacket is a new spot by Nats Park. I just made it there on Sunday, this is what i wrote yesterday

"I made the trip to Blue Jacket last night, and it was pretty awesome! The bar opened at 4, the dining room at 5:30 and the line was 1 in 1 out at 5 on a Sunday. The bar food was good and the beer was pretty legit. I thought some of the best were Forbidden Planet (Dry Hopped Kolsch), Trouble (Flanders), The Duel (IPA w/ Brett) and The Wake (Imperial Stout). They have full pours as well as 4 ounce tasters (we got through the majority of the 20 draughts).

ChurchKey is a destination spot for sure. DC Brau is good and if your a hop head, On The Wings of Armageddon is a must grab!"
