Dairy cans?

    Just stumbled upon an antique milk can, no rust with lid. Just wanted to make sure if would be a good idea to store beer in it.

    I've heard pro brewers say to check out dairy farms going out of business when starting up a brewery since all their stuff is stainless and food grade.

    That said, on a homebrew scale, I think I'd just stick with a carboy.

    Antique milk cans aren't always stainless. It'll pay to figure that out first.

    agreed warchez..some aren't..but if you find a stainless one then by all means..easy to clean..handles..fitted lid..it'

    Yeah it says stainless right on it, thanks for the answers. I was just concerned about the carbonation aspect. Didn't want it Togo flat on me

    Go flat?? You aren't carbing and storing them like large growlers... Going flat isn't of concern.
