I am going to be in Dallas next weekend for a wedding, (plano/richardson to be exact) hoping to hit up a few bottle shops, any recommendations for the best places to hit in the area.

Also, if anyone would like to set up an IP trade, send me a message, I can bring some tasty Chicago goods down.

    Thanks,

    Al

Not a ton of bottle shops per se but the new Total wine has a good selection and Kegs and Barrels always has pretty good offerings.

Bottle Shops and Dallas just have not really happened yet. You will just find stores that sell good beer along with a bunch of other things. Probably is about time for someone to take a look into that niche market.

I'm assuming you have a car so: Lone Star in Carrollton (~20min drive depending on where you are), Hall's in Colleyville (~30min), S&K (in Plano @ 75/Spring Creek), and Mr Gs in Plano. Nearby, you'll also have several of each of: Spec's, Total Wine, Whole Foods, and Central Market.

The selection across them will be about the same since there's nothing particularly rare out right now. Next week may be a different story depending on what gets released.

I live in Plano and can say Lonestar Beverages will have the best selection but is a little drive. S&K and Kegs and Barrels are the best Plano shops in my opinion.

I was down in the Colleyville/Keller area for Christmas and asked a similar question. I ended up driving from there to Lone Star in Carrollton. Wasn't a terrible drive and the beer selection was pretty solid. Good luck.
