Looking to relocate the family to the McKinney area. I’m in NJ and understand the home brewing rules and laws here. Anyone have insight on home brewing in TX? Specifically the McKinney/Prosper area.

I've been homebrewing for 9 years or so in Texas and I've never run into any issues with it.

I believe there's a legal quantity that you're allowed too make 200 gallons a year.

Then standard rules like no selling.

There's a pretty good Homebrew store that I buy most of my stuff at due too being near work.
    Homebrew Headquarters in Richardson, TX.

I don't know what Homebrew clubs are in that part of the Metroplex though.

You can look up North Texas Home Brewers Association, most meetings are in the North Dallas, Plano, Carrollton area.

There's a very good homebrew scene in NTX. NTHBC and Homebrew Headquarters mentioned above. Cap & Hare HBC and Texas Brewing Inc aka Stubby's in fort worth.
There are lots of smaller groups, too.
