First, how many knew it was Dallas Beer Week next week? I have seen very little in the way of advertising or promotion for next week, which is a bit of a bummer. But I'll do a little promoting myself, next week the guys from Sixpoint Brewing will be in DFW.
Thursday Meet and Drink at Gingerman Dallas from approx 5-8pm then we will be moving over to The Common Table for their NY Taps night that will be raising money for Hurricane Sandy Relief. Sixpoint's Chris Hess National On-Premise Sales and Andy Howk Chain Accounts Manager will be on hand.
Friday Sixpoint Flight Night at The Meddlesome Moth from approx 5-8pm then we will be moving to The Foundry for some good ol fashion drinking. Chris and Andy will be joined by Shane Welch Owner/Founder of Sixpoint for Friday events.
Saturday Growler signing at The Bottleshop on Greenville from 3-6pm then we will be moving onto Fort Worth to Zio Carlos 7-9pm and then some bar hopping after that. With the Sixpoint Crew
    Come on out and hang!!

It's been poorly promoted this year.

I agree it has been poorly promoted, is there any other info other than Sixpoint? Not that I don't like Sixpoint, I will probably be at the gman but any other beer tappings, events, etc would be helpful.

I'm going to a couple brewery tours, the new one, Community Beer Co. (Thurs. night) and DEBC's 1 year anni party (Sat. noon; I was also at DEBC's inaugural tour a year ago), I'll have to hit up the Bottle Shop after that for some Sixpoint.

Is this the week where the Moth doesn't participate?

Just a quick note to add but it sounds like Landon and some of the other FW Saucer people have their new place opening this week as well. Angry Goat I believe is the name

Anyone know any more about the DEBC tour on Thurs at 4? Special tappings, can you sit around and have a few pints afterwards or is it just samples, etc? I will be hosting another BA from out of state and am trying to priortize what to do on Thurs.

Nevermind, I'm 99.9% positive it said a tour at 4 on the dallas craft beer week website yesterday and now its says 6 a.m to 8. After going to DEBC's website, I assume its just their regular Thurs night tour from 6-8:30.

Ok, have you guys been living under a rock? Dallas Beer Week has been very heavily promoted. Here's a small sample of publications that have written online articles (Dallas Observer, Dallas Examiner, American Craft Beer.com, Craftbeer.com, Cowboys & Indians, Dallas News, Plano Star, Beerweek.com, Yelp, Culture Map, Pegasus News, and oodles and oodles on Dallas Brew Scene). Not to mention that every bar and restaurant involved has also put their events into heavy rotation on their websites, Facebook accounts and Twitter accounts. I also heard it reported on the radio. If all of that press somehow missed you, there is a ton of information to be found on Dallasbeerweek.com on the Facebook account, and their Twitter account. Jeez, BA isn't the only place to find out about beer events, guys.

    Uh oh...

If the Dallas Craft Beer Week website is so informative maybe you can give me a little more information on why it says the DEBC tour is at 4 on Nov 15th yet when I click on the link it says 6 am to 8?

Nobody sits like this rock sits
    You rock rock.

Screw Facebook...I can't freaking like every possible bar and pay attention to the news stream all day... I mean I wouldn't be able to check the ISO:FT's every 10 minutes if I did that

Oh you'll have to excuse Cathy, she failed to mention shes part of the group, maybe even the owner of the group, who really runs Dallas Beer Weak... out of Houston none the less :astonished:. If memory serves me right that is. Her name is fitting isn't it? Corks... tortilla chips? (Inside joke)

Thanks for coming back to insult our intelligence another year Cathy. I'm sure we'll get to see you again next year when Dallas Beer Weak rolls through and we crawl out from under our rock. Beer Advocate isn't the only place for us to find out about events but clearly it should have been one of the very 1st places you promoted.

For everyone complaining, feel free to volunteer next year and help fix the problem.

Again I think the point being made with respect to your idea is..How do we volunteer for something we've heard little to nothing about? Read back through some of my posts. I volunteered for FW Saucers beer feast and you bet I was on here a month+ before it happened letting people know what I heard. I think the lesson is that could be learned is that while we might be a fraction of the population needed to support all of these events..we could be used as a valuable resource to spread the word if only we had it.

I really don't see that as complaining. And for my part as soon as I heard about the Community tour on this thread I connected with all my friends who worked at the Covey to let them know.

Back on topic...I'm kinda thinking I can make it to the Community thing but I think we'll miss out on the DEBC anniversary since its our anniversary (of dating not that other thing)

How can DBW promote on here when there's a 0% tolerance for self pimping? I understand your point no worries at all. Unless you use other sites such as, twitter/fb/g+, dallasbrewscene.com, dfwhops.com, there's really no way to get the info other than going to the website.
