Good point. Yea it's a slippery slope here...but it seems as though if you avoid putting a direct link to your website or mention $'s the Bros have been fairly tolerate of spreading the word. I actually thought the thread was productive and if a promoter took a few notes they could use our perspective to improve the event instead of lashing out.

I came away from reading that post thinking it was our fault for not knowing more info. I wasn't a marketing major but the blame arrow for our lack of info should probably be pointed the other way on this.

Edit:Or use the BA events section

This. The bros want you to do this, and then you can mention it here with a link to there. That way, its information for the entire BA public, and not just regional.

I'm still trying to figure what time the DEBC tour (or the time they'll open the doors for samples) starts. I'm trying to support DEBC and craft beer week but it's kinda hard when there are 3 different start times listed and no one, including DEBC, seems to have an answer.

The only one I know anything about is Community. Jamie, owner/brewer of The Covey, is now the head brewer. I saw some youtube video and he basically said they are starting off with "sessionable" beers whch include his World Beer Cup gold medal vienna lager. He also mentioned starting off with a wit and some other lighter style.

I hope he is eventually "allowed" to use his creativity and do some more exciting beers. I loved his more uncommon beers at The Covey such as the Prickly Pear Wit, Coconut Porter, etc. I hope they do well, he's a helluva nice guy and awesome brewer.

yeah, I saw that too, and then saw sessionable stuff and was disappointed. Jamie made some good beers, for sure!

@horned Understandable, maybe next year it'll be that way, in the meantime the site will be best for info. @cfh I'm just going to assume that it's the regular time, doubt they'd make a special time.

I don't want to stir the pot or side with anyone, but I get the feeling that there is resentment toward the organizers because they're not local. Well, that, and last year.

It's Monday, we are now aware of DBW and how to access the info. How about we just put our feelings aside, drink some beers and enjoy the festivities? The only way to make it better is by participating.

I'm looking forward to the Peticolas tour Friday night... and the tapping/tasting of a rosemary cask conditioned Royal Scandal... hopefully .

I'll be splitting time on Saturday afternoon between DEBC and Four Corners. There really is alot of stuff going on... I sure do wish I could join in on some of the weeknight festivities but work and a commute from Denton are preventing me from doing so.

Unrelated to beer week events, I'm doing some kind of Color Run 5k thing on Saturday morning... at first it sounded like fun but I was reading more about the "Color Dust" and I think I'm going to start calling it "Nightmare Dust"... as in a nightmare to clean from clothes, hair and skin. So, I'll be the guy in a Breaking Bad-esque coverall and respirator.

Lot of runs this weekend. My wife is doing on Saturday night called the Glow Run.

Not to start another complaint, but according to the craft beer week calendar Grant Wood will be tapping 3 different Revolver beers on Nov 15th at 4 @ Common Table. According to Common Tables website, Grants bday and the Revolver beers are being tapped on Nov 14th.

Again, some clarification would be great as I'll have some out of towner BA's with me on the 15th and this sounds like something fun, IF it is actually on the 15th. BTW, thanks to whoever cleared up the times on DEBC tours on the craft beer week website.

If you've got a twitter account, ask Common Table directly there and they can get you an instant response.

I'm not offended but you still may be a dick...I realize I can call but should I call every place on the dallas beer week calendar to confirm their dates and times are correct? This is the 2nd inconsistency in as many days. I hope no one is going directly off the calendar or they may be diasappointed.

Sorry for requesting (on my behalf and others) that the dates and times on the dallas beer week calendar are accurate, I didn't realize that was too much to ask.

If I happen to find anymore inconsistencies I'll be sure not say anything and let everyone else figure it out for themselves.

BTW, that was pretty nifty what you did there with the google search

Calm down. I was making a joke and wanted an excuse to use LMGTFY. Still, fix the problem, not the blame. You're right, the inconsistencies are frustrating but chances are you're only going to a few events which means that taking 5 minutes to make 2-3 phone calls isn't the end of the world.

Calmer than you are  Calmer than you are. Also, it's not just about how many events I'm going to. It's about all the other people, not on BA, that may be using the calendar. I also think I was quite polite about it.

BTW, I have no idea what LMGTFY is but if it has anything to do with Google I already gave you props for that.

Surprised that Firestone Walker didn't prepare some label approvals and go given their pending release into the market. That would've been epic.
