Hi, I will be visiting Dallas with the wife for a weekend on which we'll attend a concert. I don't have many things set in stone other than the concert on Saturday night, and I'll probably have to take the wife around to a few shops and other non-beer stuff, but can reasonably pick maybe two spots to hit for beers. Other than some of Community and Deep Ellum's brews, I haven't had much Dallas stuff before. I do like most styles including IPAs, but not exclusively hazy stuff. I like Belgian stuff, barrel aged sours, and stouts, just as much as IPAs if not more than Hazy NEIPAs. I don't care too much for milkshake stuff, or kettle sours. I thought maybe hit the Meddlesome Moth on Friday Night for dinner (or could do brunch/lunch Saturday if that is a better option). And maybe hit Celestial Beerworks on Saturday afternoon for a couple of pre-concert beers. Is that a good idea, or is there a better brewery or place I should consider? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
I'm not from Dallas, but I am sharing this thread which I noticed about a month ago (it's got both Houston and Dallas recommendations, but most of the ones for Dallas/Fort Worth are closer to the end of the thread): https://www.beeradvocate.com/commun...llas-or-houston-for-beer.665666/#post-7508359
Meddlesome is my favorite place, last time I was there we did brunch on Sunday. I am a big biscuit and gravy guy, and theirs is the one to beat. Have fun
Celestial, Turning Point, False Idol and Odd Muse are my top 4 probably in that order (TP is actually in Bedford about half hour south of Dallas but well worth the drive). Meddlesome always has a killer tap list and great grub.
