    What's up everyone!?

I'll be staying in the Fort Worth area (Hilton Anatole) in July, would the drive to Jester King be worth it?

*yes I do like their style of beers.

Depends what you consider worth it.

If I was in Ft Worth, I would hit up Collective Brewing Project and be damn happy about it.

Gotta say, Collective is good and Uberable. Would stay close and check out Chimera as well...or come into Dallas and hit Community, always a great time.

Just to clarify - the Anatole is in Central Dallas. Different styles, but Be sure to visit Community and Peticolas... A stone's throw from where you're staying.

Depends what Jester King has at the time, but I'd second Collective.

From DFW (depending where in metroplex) JK will take you 3-3 1/2 hrs - oh and Austin traffic blows goats! Be sure to check opening hours at JK before you go, they are a bit goofy on operating hours.

I'd second the rest of the comments, stick around DFW and check out all of the fantastic beers close by. You can find JK on shelves in DFW, maybe not the bottles of unicorn tears (Fen Tao, etc). JK makes great beers, but so do many other DFW area breweries not spend an entire day driving...spend it drinking - locally!

If you want to go, go. I'd recommend making a day out of it though.

Goofy on operating times? They have two sets of hours - one for summer, one for winter. Occasionally, on holiday weekends, they may shut down or open up more (just like any other place).

I must be confused on the goofy hours part as that is the first I have heard of that?

Do you visit Texas very often? If not, I would say yes, driving to Jester King is worth it. One of the best in the United States IMO and its a very cool setting. If you visit often, I would say you can find plenty of good beer in Dallas and Ft. Worth and you can go to Austin on your next trip.

Thank you for the clarification, I have no damn clue why I thought it was on the Ft Worth side.

Thank you! That would make sense to spend the day drinking and not driving!!

No, this is going to be my first time to Texas, it is a work trip that I am going to extend for a couple days.

If you decide to go to Community check out Texas Ale Project which is right around the corner from them. You must try The Caucasian, which is their "White" Russian Imperial Stout brewed with Vanilla, Coffee, lactose and aged on toasted oak. That was the best beer I had that weekend of brewery hopping.
