    Mid-Westerner coming for Xmas.
    What bars do you recommend?
What liquor stores are the best?
What beers are best local beers to enjoy?

    Choice Beverage (McKinney - shop)
    Total Wine (n plano/frisco shop)
    Kelly's (Allen - pub)
    Holy Grail (n. plano/frisco - pub)
Lonestar Taps & Caps (shop, growler fill)

Craft & Growler - a destination stop in Dallas. A drive but worth a visit.

Nearest brewery is gonna be Cobra or Franconia depending on where you are in Frisco

Drunken Donkey in The Colony (borders Frisco and Plano) has 126 taps. Food is decent but it's a lot more sports bar-y than I expected. Top Golf is right across the street if you're into that. Taps and Caps is sweet, 50 taps, growler fills and bottles to go. Also a minute away from Top Golf/DD. Lonestar Beverages is a good store and only a few miles from all three. Holy Grail Pub is also good. East Side Social Club (80 taps with several on nitro and great whiskey selection) and Oak Street Drafthouse (45+ taps inside, probably 20 more outside if open, same owner) in Denton are my two favorite bars, but they're 40 minutes or so from Frisco. If you have time and means of transportation, make a day or evening out of it and hit both, along with a burger at Rooster's Roadhouse, which is nearby. Oak Street is an old house turned into a bar. Very unique, though I tend to prefer the pub feel of East Side.

Bourbon Barrel Temptress is great if you can find it, but regular is really good, too. BA Legion is good. Community, Lakewood, Four Corners, all make good beer.
