Thing is.... If they do know it's beer and he lies... Dead in the water. I imagine that's why people suggested ignorance? Wonder if there's a better method for success?

If they know it's beer it doesn't matter what he says. Not sure what anyone would say at that point to rectify the situation. If they don't know it's beer and aren't led to believe it's beer then maybe there is a chance here. No need to connect the dots for them...

I sent a receipt for the OH cans, but deleted the term brewing just in case. I said it was "Other Half cans", since i needed to certify for its value.

I just spoke to the shipper location, and the guy told me he was going to try and get the package sent to him and if it is not too bad repackage it and send it. But that would of course involve him realizing it was beer. So I don't know what the chances are.

One of the strangest things to happen to me was UPS found out it was beer, dumped out the beer, then re-packed it, and delivered it. It was unbelievable they went through all that trouble just to send me empty cans.

    That is almost sadistically evil.

Or maybe instead of dumping it they had a fun night in the warehouse!

But you ordered that directly from them correct? If so this would have a much better chance to be resolved where you get the beer

A beer package sent to me via UPS 3-4 yrs ago got "lost" (really lost track of) en route from Maryland. The sender made a claim and did in fact get reimbursed $100 for the contents plus cost of the shipping. I had been in contact with the UPS location it was last seen as well. So much time transpired that the guy sent me replacement beer. 2 weeks after I got the replacement beer Ups at my local UPS depot (Fairfield, CA) called me and the young girl who called said "we have a damaged package here for you. I was gonna repackage it and send it to you but because it's beer my manager won't let me send it but you can come get it if you want". So I went and picked it up (immediately). A couple bottles had broken. Neither me or the shipper were lectured by ups because it was alcohol. The guy who shipped to me (that I did the trade with) is now a very good friend of mine who I've gotten together with several times now...hahahaha.
