Bought some 2 days ago so great this year , bourbon barrel is mellow and delicious so tasty @ 10.2% ABV dangerous stuff easy to toss back a few

 

Also watching the Gophers role and having a BB. My wife just took a sip and exclaimed "Oh Jesus!". More for me I guess.

 

Yeah, had to buy a case this year!

 

I managed to find 1 bottle...but I wasn't looking very hard. Any store sightings in the south metro?

 

A case is crucial!! Wish I had access to be able to buy a whole case, seems around here there is usually a 1-2 four pack limit on most Founders limited beers.

I absolutely love this stuff. Give me this over breakfast stout....no hate on B-stout though.

 

IMHO it is Founder's best beer.

 

It is a damn good beer. On tap, heavenly. In the bottle, still fantastic. Was lucky enough to grab two four packs locally around me. By chance, they were the last, and second to last of the case.

Sounds like most places only got a case...

 

Man if you can manage to age any it does unreal things to your pallate. I have 4 bottles from last year still.

 

It's very interesting hearing all of these glowing opinions...it has always been my least favorite limited Founders release. Guess my passing on it this year will be appreciated by others at least. I'll scrape and re-calibrate my tongue tonight.

 

Backwoods Bastard is one of my favorite Founders beers. I can't wait to do a side by side comparison between this years and last years.

 

I actually preferred last years, a little boozier this year then last... However I am sure that was just the food I had before and not the beer... But either way I think I like the 12 a little better... I only got one 4 pack this year as I still have 10 bottles of last years around.

Time to get drinking and stop thinking!

 

I like this one and it's good aged. I think over 2 years, tho, it doesn't get better.

 

Anyone know where I could still find a bottle or two? Somehow I missed the release date.

 

Perrier Wines & Liquors on Grand Avenue in St. Paul had them as of yesterday. $3.49 per bottle.

 

Boozier this year? Mmmmmm.... Can't wait to give it a try!

 

Enjoying a year old Backwoods Bastard now. Heavenly. Get more barrel subtleties with some age. Totally missed this years release.
