The traditional trading forum on this new site has absolutely exploded. 3,100+ threads already?!?! It's amazing anyone can get a trade completed with how fast it moves. Maybe you've even found yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of creating an ISO:FT post and not getting a trade set up. Well here's an extra chance to land that beer that's been just out of your reach. Simply link to your post in the trading forum that didn't get done. You can add a sob story back story too if you'd like. I'll close this down in a few days and send the winner the beer they were searching for. But wait, there's more! I'll try to hit some of your other Wants as well. But wait, there's more! I'll probably send some beers that I think you'll like as well. Mega Bonus points if: The beer has been in your Wants list for a long time and/or you've tried multiple trade threads to land it and/or you have other posts talking about how badly you want to try the beer I actually have the beer you're searching for (or know where I can steal it) Bonus points if: You didn't bump your trade topic You're a helpful poster elsewhere on the site You have an updated Wants list that isn't completely outrageous You know how to post a picture to the site You aren't backfat I'll arbitrarily choose a winner after a few days. You don't have to start another LIF in a reasonable amount of time, but it would be nice if you did... And let's not forget, this is really about me trying to win a Kate the Great, so be sure to post your haul in the thread I linked up top. Here it is again. And maybe a picture of the haul as well. I check with Portsmouth and they said it wasn't true..BUT the guy had good refrencens and was on BA for a long time so I said I would do the trade as I doubt he was lying and had good refrences....never heard from him again... weird..i furiously drown my sorrows
The bottles of Chocolate Rain I have are spoken for And I would love to get an AftW as well... I too have tried 4D but never had a BB4D... I could tape together a couple 750s... I've been wanting full integration before getting fully back into trading and have only posted one ISO:FT that went no where. I've been looking to land some of this year's hunahpu for a while (with the snifter) attempt 1 attempt 2 lord knows i mentioned it a few times in the release thread and BM'ed more than a few people in that thread who said they had fun and got beer. here were a few mentions i was able to quickly find... mention 1 mention 2 mention 3 that being said, looks like i've lined something up for early april from a cool trader who is moving to town...so probably no need to send anything to me (hopefully, although i've learned that a trade ain't done until beer is in hand, but this guy seems legit and i remain hopeful). I just wanted to chime in on how generous of a guy Rempo is. whomever wins this will probably get their socks knocked off from whatever is sent your way. if i had a kate to spare (or a kate in general) this is the guy to give it to. oh and here's a picture of the lineup from a recent tasting with some awesome local BAs (LI crew in effect), ironically a 2012 Hunah was supposed to be there, but shipment problems held things up so we didn't get it. shortly after ripping through the full abyss vertical (2 infected 09s ) we called the shipper and all Boo'ed him, that's when the insanity started (DDG, Izzy, Rare, Lente, Flaming Fury...etc - the pic speaks for itself). Good times.

I even had people asking me for beers I didn't even have. And I swear it's worse these days, but I feel like every ISO post I do (I've done three or four on the "new" site) most of the responses I get are simply, "Check out my Gots/Celllar..." Jeesh, I can't sell and buy my beer both. It's like people are afraid to actually make an offer and instead just want be in the position of saying "yea or nay". /end rant

At that point, costs became to high to handle, especially being a grad student. Just recently, now that I have a partner with whom I can share costs, I've been trying to get back in. So I've made a few such posts, two of which have garnered no responses. However, the above did, and in fact, was supposed to lead me to two trades. Guy 1 was to trade me a FFF Baller, but a few days prior informed me that he had overestimated his supply and could not complete the trade. He gave me sufficient notice, so no harm, no foul. Besides, I thought, I still had one other trade set. Guy 2 was offering up an Avery Rumpkin and a FFF Zombie Dust. Now, I should mention that this was on KBS Day, which is the same day I was flying in to GR. Wanting to be on the safe side in terms of time, I told him I'd meet him there at 4:15. But my flight gets in early, traffic is better paced than expected, ect. So, even after having to drive to my parents' home to pick up the bottle I was cellaring for the trade, and stopping off elsewhere to pick up a couple of local extras I figured my partner may have missed since he came to town just for KBS, I got there by 3:30. I called him up, since he was supposed to be there anyway, and I figured we could finish early. No such luck. He was out to lunch elsewhere, and said he'd be back by 4:15. An hour later, at 4:30, I call him. He hadn't shown up or told me he was running late, so I wanted to know what was going on. He then informed that he had already started driving back to Chicago, and had no intent to return to Founders to complete the trade. So, I had waited around for an hour for no reason, and only found out my time was wasted once I proactively called for a status update. Thus, no trades were completed on KBS Day.
