Hello All, I plan on attending the HF release of Damon on Thursday with a buddy of mine, so we'll probably end up having an extra bottle for trade. I've been wanting to try some Mexican Cake, so I figure Damon would give me the best chance of landing a bottle. Here are some questions I want to throw out to everyone: 1) Would Damon itself land a bottle of MC and/or variants? 2) I am new to trading and I understand there are concerns with people trading rare/highly sought-after beers with new traders. Any tips you can give me to "prove my worth" if I'm able to get a trade together? Thanks everyone!
You have to send first and if anyone offers you regular Mexican Cake for Damon straight up they are trying to rip you off. Damon should be around 1:1 with a Mexican Cake variant; maybe you'd need to add a HF 750 ml growler.
What he said. Mexi cake would trade 1:1 with something like Sankt Hands. Damon+ would get a BA mexi cake.
I had 2 MC and traded them for shelf beers Eclipse, and a HT and Gandhi Bot mix. I don't care for pepper in my beer and love the stuff it traded for, some great trade partners, but it just depends on the other guys wants too.
I think it depends on the variant. I've offered multiple Damon, BoT, Bramble, Cherry Rye, etc. for the Apple Brandy as long as some of the $4$ is covered, and have gotten no responses. On the other hand, I have been offered 1:1 the JD variant for Damon.
