You would think so but it's been out 7 months now and there's still almost mention of it at all. I may have been low balling but I offered a Luscious, BCBCS and Bramble Rye for a Rare and only one person got back to me and wanted me to add a sour in as well to make it happen.

I think it has something to do with that heady topper which is produced week in and week out is a bitch to get so as soon as they produced a one off highly desirable style like a stout, I think most people just said fuck it that's gonna be a freaking nightmare to land so they didn't try. I know that's why I didn't but since I've heard of an offer or 2 like yours with luscious bundled up, I'm realizing it may be way, way easier to get than I previously thought.

I think this beer proves that you can't start with an uber whale right out of the gate because everyone will give up on trying to get it before the gate even opens.

I added that if anyone had info on Mimosa or Luscious I'd appreciate it.

Yea, me too and so did everyone else I've talked to which is why it doesn't surprise me that there's no one going after it. They're week in week out produced DIPA is hard to get so a stout that has low bottle numbers, from the alchemist just has all the markers for a beer that you'll go nuts and end up in a mental institution if you try and get it. That or you end up giving half your cellar and when you finally crack it open, you regret it.

lots of talk about CR for Damon, anyone think a BT would do it, or would it need more ammo?

I heard nothing but crickets with that offer the week after the release. Apparently more ammo is needed. YMMV

Just thinking of Chocolate Rain literally makes me feel ill. Amazing people trade anything good for it, let alone rate it above a 3.0.

I gave mine away plus a cool local for a Black Butte XX and XXI.
Don't know if that's on par with it's trade value, but I didn't care either way... I really wanted the XX.

I have a question regarding HF bottle releases - if they have some left over the day after a bottle release, are they okay with people coming in and getting another bottle, or is that frowned upon? Could a Vermont local theoretically go to the brewery and pick up a bottle of Damon every day until they run out?

    An '09 should do it.

This was possible in the past. I know they lifted the bottle limit completely on some older releases when there were leftovers. Not sure if it's the case now that demand has increased so much.
