They do growler fills, I believe there are only limits on growlers for that night's can release beer (Astroid tonight). That might have changed though, maybe someone else can confirm.

It also looks like they have some cans of Infinite Highway leftover from Sunday as well.

Their growler policy from what I have experienced there is just informal. In other words, don't bring in an absurd amount and it will be fine. Like 3 64 oz growlers or 6 750 is probably fine. But ya they usually don't fill stuff they have cans of or if they are getting low on something they might not. You should be fine for a good amount though.

A lot of cool things happening with Dancing Gnome this weekend, heck of a way to celebrate their first anniversary

The 1st anniversary can release yesterday was a lot of fun. Today is juicy brews and I'm excited to make it to the 2nd session. Exciting to see the amount of attention this place got over the first year.

Hi, in town for an eve (tonight, Wednesday) and would love to try some of the DG beer. Is the line for pours and the line for cans the same? I'm probably not taking anything 'to go' and don't want to wait in can or double mex release lines for a pour or two.

Double mex line is at brew gentlemen. Usually at dancing gnome the can line is around back so you can just walk into the bar and get a pour or fill a growler. I've never waited more than 5 mins for a pour there.

Dancing Gnome is better set up to handle releases without congesting their taproom...

During the III signups at BG, while the line went out the door, you could just walk up past it to the line for drafts if not signing up for the release. It's just not apparent that you can do that when you first get in there.

I will be coming to Pittsburgh October 20th (day after mosaic jam release). Is it safe to assume they will not have cans left on Friday? I will definitely be stopping in for a pour or five anyway, but would like to contain my expectations haha.

I would say cans sell out on the day they are released about 90-95 percent of the time. However, their batches have been growing so you might get lucky.

Sorry for the mixup on breweries. Looks like I will cast a shadow on DG this eve!

Hi all- heading there for the release Saturday. It's a single can release. We're (2 of us) coming from Rochester, NY so I'm hoping to get any info on the line. Do we need to get there ahead of time? If so, how long? We need to get a total of a case to bring back to Rochester so I'm hoping to determine whether or not we're likely to strike out. Thanks in advance for any input!

Hi all - looking for some help! I'm driving to Pitt on 11/3 for the Other Half/Dancing Gnome collab. What time should I expect to get there to get a case? I've never been to a DG release so not sure if people really line up or if I can mosey in at noon to get a case. Figured especially because it's an OH collab, it'd be more sought after. Thanks

They typically do a 4/4pack max on hyped Saturday releases and I would assume this one will be 3/4packs (in reference to the getting a case). As far as line, it’s hard to say. Most Saturday releases have been lasting into Sunday if not the following week. My guess is once people see OH, there will be a massive line. Odds are in your favor if you show up at noon with typical 160 count cases but you never know since we never had an OH collab to compare to.

From what I've been reading on FB, it seems like people are going to start getting there at 6 AM or so...

There were people in line at 6AM for their anniversary release. But they released 4 beers (3 DIPAs, including a Triple Crossing collab) and the big draw - Double Black Clouds Vanilla imperial stout. Posters on those FB groups joke about the line all the time. But since that anniversary day they had a Thursday release with both a DIPA collab with Bearded Iris and another with Deciduous. Granted that was a Thursday, but the line was maybe 30 people. I think that the OH name and this being a Saturday it will be in between, but I don't think that you need to be there at 6AM to get cans.

I was there 2 Saturdays ago and got a 4 pack of Mosaic Jam and a 4 pack of HaHa.
The Mosaic Jam was pretty terrible and HaHa was ok.
    6am?? LOL....Jesus

I thought HaHa was one of the better beers I've ever had. In my tasting notes I said it was Tree House level. Didn't have this last batch though so can't speak to that.
