Any beer that comes with an Oreo (or oreo substitute) is fine in my book.

First "bar" i have been willing to stand in line for in years.

Hammerheart's excellent Devil's Mouthwash was $7/snifter, $30 for growler fills (Tier III).

Thats what I dont get-How is it that it's $30 for a barrel aged 11.5% stout, and the 7% Smoked IPA was the same price?

Also thought that beer was good, but I didnt get even a hint of cinnamon or habenero in it.

The habanero and cinnamon is there but its more of a tingle in the background. More so when it warms up. The menu does say "just a touch of".

Hey - this is Nathaniel from HammerHeart. Just created this account to clear up confusion in this thread. Also, I realize this is a Dangerous Man thread. We price most of our beers at $5 inclusive of Sales Tax. The $5 beers below 7% ABV go in a 16oz pint. The $5 beers above 7% ABV go in a Libbey 3807 glass (13oz snifter/tulip hybrid - awesome glass). I.e. Surtr's Flame Smoked IPA goes in the 3807, and we sell it for $5. Up until this past weekend, we only had two $7 beers, our bourbon beers (BBA Dublin Raid and BBA Olaf the Stout) which went in a Libbey 3705 (11.5oz snifter). This past wkend, Djevelens Munnvann was poured the same as the BBA stuff. We fill growlers of DM because we have a full batch of it. We don't fill growlers of the BBA due to only having 200gal each to start (4 Buffalo Trace barrels each).

Growler pricing is not perfectly in line with pint pricing...but I promise everything will balance out at some point.

I also did want to say that we appreciate the support so many have given us since August 2...the trips those have made out to Lino, the friends you have brought along....everything. If you have any questions about the brewery, beers, etc, I do scan BA at minimum every week, so feel free to post your questions here and we will try to get back to you.

Yeah that makes sense....it was a bigger snifter for the Smoked IPA not a pint as I said.......13 oz pour must have seemed close to a pint when I had it......and the 11.5 snifter is a good pour for Olaf the Stout in my opinion for $7..thanks for all the info...

Yep- had it last weekend, I thought it was excellent as did others in attendance. A lot of Citra hop flavor, 70-80 IBU's. had the Imperial Pumpkin as well, not much of a pumpkin fan but the Imperial intrigued me, thoroughly enjoyed that as well. I think they are doing a fantastic job in general. There was a lot of doubt that their model might not make it, but they are definitely doing well!

Went to Dangerous Man tonight and it was a very special time for me. Between the the citra IIPA and the hopped wheat wine and the imperial pumpkin I had an amazing experience. If you went before and weren't a fan I would give them another shot especially with the current tap list.

Had several tulips on Saturday. I thought it was above average, but I'm also a sucker for citra hops. A big beer at about 8% ABV. If you like citra hops you will not be disappointed.

Dangerous man, I would try to make you feel foolish but there's about a page of strictly Hammerheart comments that could throw off even the sleuthiest of sleuths.
