This could also include herb/garlic/onion flavors

    Mine would be:
    Hop Ranch
    Hi-Res
    Snake Dog Double Dog

What are yours? Or is there one beer that would fit this profile over all others?

For me, as surprising as this may sound, I find Sierra Nevada Tropical Torpedo to be uber-dank.

I get a bit of dankness in Tropical Torpedo as well and I love it. I know I'm not in the meta, but I much prefer an "old school" west-coast hop-bomb, with all the citrusy/piney/dank notes compared to the opaque juice-bombs many seem to prefer.

As for the OP's question Waldo's Special Ale from Lagunitas would be my answer though I'm curious to hear what others say.

I thought Born Yesterday was very weed-y, but not a DIPA. Maybe the "regular" Enjoy-By? We have a few in CA that would fit the bill, but not widely distributed.

I haven't gotten to Tropical Torpedo yet... I need to try it!

Oops, just realized OP was asking for DIPAs. For sure, Waldo's is up there...

The double dog is my least favorite from flying dog. I think it's was too "hot" to be enjoyable.

Founders ReDANKulous was pretty good in terms of weedy aroma.

It is always intriguing to me how individual palates vary.

I discussed the 2016 release of Lagunitas Waldos' Special Ale in a New Beer Sunday thread and I posted:

    “Aroma:

A juicy aroma of citrus and tropical fruits. A tiny bit of dank/resin in the background.

    Taste:

The flavor follows the nose with citrus and tropical fruit flavors dominating. The malt profile comes off with a fair bit of sweetness.”

That beer was not very weedy/dank for me.

I don't personally consider herb/garlic/onion "dank"....I'd call that catty. Maybe I'm terming things wrong.

"dank" to me is tobacco, bong resin, ganja, leafy....

I'm sure we all related different terms to different things. I wish I could come up with a list but looking at my reviews the most recent I would probably call dank is Tropical Torpedo which I expected to be more tropical for some reason.

This was true to its name. I couldn't help but use the word "Dank" in my review.

I would answer this but I still don't understand what BAs mean by dank!

Only had it on tap at Wicked Weed years ago, but it was a version of Freak with Brett. Have to say I enjoyed it, Weed IMO is dank by itself, not a clue what kinda hops they use, and th bit of funk added is a multiplier.

I didn't get dank at all, just tropical fruits on the nose and palate. That was a good beer.
