Anyone used the dry saison yeast and has feedback (http://www.danstaryeast.com/products/belle-saison-yeast)? I can get it at a reasonable price, but liquid Wyeast will cost better than $13 (OUCH!). I was wondering if it I need to take the hit, or if this will create a nice saison...

Remind me again why your liquid Wyeast is $13 when I get it at ~$6. The pricing gap between dry yeast and liquid yeast seems to have gotten much narrower in recent years. Liquid prices have held their ground but dry seems to have steadily increased.

I'm sure that plays a part, but another brew shop has started getting piles of Wyeast in and is charging $9 each or 2/$15, they got Brett Brux & Lambic Blend 3278, but somehow no Saison strains... Another chain of wine stores is selling three strains (1028, 1056, 2112) at $9 each. The only conclusion I can make is that the guy that used to have virtual monopoly on brewing with grain in this city of 700,000 has been gouging us for years...

That said, his prices on Nottingham are cheaper then online.
