Sorry about your luck. Danville is beer-dead. You're about an hour from Lynchburg which has Rivermont pizza- 20 decent taps and bottle shop. Apocalypse Ale Works in Forest (basically Lynchburg) cool little microbrewery with some nice stuff and a bottle shop next door. About two hours from Devils Backbone and Blue Mountain breweries in Nelson Co which have excellent beer and food.
Sounds like this trip won't involve any good beer finds. I won't have time to go anywhere except Danville. Maybe I'll check out Jakes on Main and the beer store listed on BA. Thanks anyway!
The little pizza place on main street next to the beer store had Nugget Nectar on tap last week. Danville is getting better but still has a long ways to go.
Thanks for the heads up. We made it to the pizza place and had NN. Also bought some bottles at the wine place. We were then headed to Caps and Corks but it closed at 5.
