On Saturday I poured a Castle Danger Ode IPA (12oz can), and in the beer
were black/dark drown floaties. There were several of them, and appeared
to be round about 1/16" to 1/8" in diameter (just a guess).

I have seen floaties before and they usually do not bother me, but these
looked almost sinister, so I drain-poured it.

Anyone have an idea what those were? Was the beer safe to drink?

Someone with better brewing knowledge can correct me if Im wrong, but there are no known infections/bacteria in beer that are known to be harmful to humans. Dregs are pretty common, especially in craft beer.
