    Can you believe it???? It is our 13th Anniversary this year and we want to celebrate it with you!!! The number 13 means something to us and this is why:

    We are the 13th brewery after Prohibition was lifted to make its home in Marshall, MI.

    Some people consider the number 13 to be an unlucky number...we on the other hand consider it our lucky number!

    You will see the number 13 used in the packaging of our beer.

    The number 13 tarot card has death riding a horse (this card does not usually represent mortality, but change or a new beginning).

    The American flag has 13 horizontal stripes 6 white and 7 red. The Great Seal, has 13 stars, 13 arrows, 13 berries 13 stripes and 13 leaves, as well as two 13 letter phrases. Originally there were 13 colonies (our forefathers like number 13 too).

    There are many other reasons why we like the number 13, but this post is long enough....but, if you all want to share why you may like the number 13...feel free to comment!!!

    So mark your calendars for Saturday, September 21st to enjoy some great live music and craft beer. We will releasing a special 13th Anniversary beer for you to enjoy! More details to come in the near future, so stay tuned!!!

    Have been considering doing the 1/2 marathon that starts and ends at the brewery that same day. It includes a donut and a beer and $3 pints for the rest of the day with the $20 entry fee. Running the 13.1 would allow for guilt free drinking all day!

    DH left a comment below their post saying that it would be bottled. Now the questions are, will it be distributed and what the heck it will be?

    BBPt5 aged for two years in PVW barrels, bottled in 750's.*

    Just completed registration for the race. There even an option to pre-pay the $5 entry fee to the anniversary party.

    is durian hard to source in the us? i will admit i don't hit asian markets around chi as often as i want to.

    No clue what the special brew is, but at the 4Elf party last year I sat at a picnic table right next to barrels labeled as "Plead Blackberry"...
