So is Dark Horse passing out the orange hats for the mules from Chicago and blue hats for the people that are going for the party again? I like that, it makes them easier to hit with my cross bow (been watching way too much Walking Dead).

If I drive by fucking Dark Horse on Friday night and there are people in tents, I'm going to shit in the parking lot, smash some empty Colt 45 bottles and call the cops. Simple...as...that.

The line's not too bad from where I can see. There's only like 20 of us here so far.

I'm with ya. No need for any overnight parking lot stuff. Pretty sure Marshall police won't allow it anyway. They're pretty strict.

Agreed. The Police drove through the parking lot every 20 minutes or so on Saturday morning last year.

Yup, so we should keep it the same as last year and show up closer to 10 and not turn this into a shit show and make dark horse look like crap. We want to be able to have this event in the future, lets not ruin it! We are the majority of the attendees, so lets show some respect for a place that is allowing an event like this.

Super psyched about this event and the opportunity to share some beers with my fellow BAs. Me and BAB747 will be making the trek from WI and will be bringing plenty of New Glarus to share with our Lake Michigan neighbors. I'll be the dork in the Central Waters skull cap.

Any of you SE MI locals know of any good breakfast spots (or any breakfast spots) close to Marshall? I'm not coming up with much on Urbanspoon, TripAdvisor, etc...I'd like to get a lil bit of grub in my belly before waiting in line for a while.

I actually thought of you right after I posted that and was thinking to myself,"I hope this wont affect our trade." Hahaha! All in good fun my friend. I'm really disappointed I'm missing this event but there's always next year... If I make it to next year that is.

There is a Denny's right off the exit. Nothing fancy but it's food.

Should let you know, this is only on the way if you are coming from the north or west, it is in Kalamazoo. From dark horse it is about 40 min. If you want to leave to waste some time between 11 and 3, it is still worth it, this place rocks!

I'm actually going to be staying in Marshall on Friday, but thanks for the consideration! Probably just eat some milk and cereal with a bagel, cream cheese, and avocado. Nice breakfast until I get some of that Dark Horse za!

I love me a big greezy burger. They're breakfast is pretty solid also. Plus, it's right off exit 112 (same number both ways actually) on your way to the brewery.

Going to start with Monster 29, then hit MMMM, then hit the Oat Wine, hopefully all before being able to purchase bottles. Although this system is flawed, because BBN Perk last year was amazing on tap last year (Top 3 for me), but the bottles never carb'd up so it's an interesting game...

I couldn't agree more about the BB Perk. I thought that stuff was incredible on tap. I was close to tears when i opened my bottle.
Bourbon Monster will be #1 for me. Had regular at Summer Beer fest, and it was quite good. I will say, one thing that really piqued my interestes they have on is the sour 3 guy. I'm just really not sure what to expect from it.

Ohhh, I'll be trying that for sure...unintentional or not, I will have some in my belly. These events are a tickers dream! I wont be ticking, but I will be keeping a photo journal with some notes IE Untappd, duh!

I agree! I won't/don't tick. Just after a few choice nugz i've been craving to be inside me (666, citra crooked tree, homobourbonsapien) and some of the standouts to me like the monsters and a few others. I'm too cool for a smartphone, so the untapped photo journal is unfortunately out of the question for me. Oh. and by too cool, i mean, i'm to cheep to spend $200 on a new phone. But awesome enough to spend $200 on some beers.

Falconers Flight Crooked Tree is the best one of the variants in my opinion. I enjoyed it so much that I am going to be brewing an all FF IPA in the very near future.

I had one from the Keweenaw Brewing Company in Houghton MI and it was equally as good as the rest of their beers...
